Siouxsie 1 Posted April 4, 2007 sing a song together yeah, the florida keys are headquarters for has beens but that's ok for a wannabe like me .. so i drive up to marathon yesterday to play a solo gig at the cabana breeze on key colony beach and .. having dinner with a grandchild was carole king after my first break she asked me about curtis' funeral cause they were at geffin records at the same time i begged her to sing a song with me she agreed we chose an old monkees classic that she penned she played the old piano that was onstage - i played rhythm guitar sometime in the morning a simple thought may occur to you, and you hold her, and tell her all the things you never told her. your love has shown me things i never thought i could see; i didnt know it could be done so easily. now i know you're where it is for me. sometime in the evening youre sitting there by the fireside and shell touch you and youll realize how much you never knew before, how much you couldnt see. you didnt know it could be done so easily now you know shes all a girl could be. now in her childlike eyes you see the beauty there you know it was always there and you need no longer wear a disguise. sometime in the morning youll just reach out and she will be there, close as the summer air. sometime in the morning she will be there. and it's back to sugarloaf key for another solo gig tonight and back to marathon thursday tootles mates Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
