The tone of the music is crushingly loud, fast, and aggressive, but not at all serious -- the record is filled with goofy, macho humor, some of which holds up well (i.e., the three-second "Anti-Procrastination Song," an ode to "Milk") and some of which is quite racist and sexist. However, the music blasts by at such a frenetic pace (22 tracks in under half an hour) that the more offensive lyrics are often incomprehensible, so some may find them easier to ignore.

Round #1, bracket #4 is over. It was only close between 8 & 12, and 12 continues to lobby so this is no longer an anonymous or neutral competition. Sad that the voting is ending a little early, but I think it's obvious what the outcome will be here. To coin a pharase, "what a waste of Kill 'Em All and Master of Puppets".

 

Team 12 is *officially* eliminated from this competition. Likely due to a dramatic oversupply of metal. While I respect the guts it took to draft 98% one style of music, I have to question the decision/strategy a little bit.

 

Team #8 appears to be in serious jeopardy for the second round of brackets in this competition. Matchups will be everything though.
