Is Rick Hamilton a puzzay or...

Recommended Posts

Am I missing something?

This is a legit question since I don't live and breath the NBA. This focker has been wearing a facemask since day one as far as I can tell. Does he have some reason to keep the plastic low-rent Phantom Of the Opera mask on or not?

He had his face mashed up years ago....got the "mask" to continue playing and since doesn't feel comfortable playing without it

I think that's the story

You mean Richard Hamilton.

He broke his nose twice and doctors say if he breaks it again he's going to be out for a long time. So he will wear it for the rest of career.

More like he could miss a whole season or his career could be over. Better safe than sorry

I guess you missed the part about me not living and breathing the NBA, much less anything having to do with the skidmark of the U.S. known as Detroit.

You don't have to live and breath something to know a guys name. I guess your hearing must be going, because I have no idea how you got Rich out of Rip. First your brain cells now your hearing. :dunno: Hope you don't lose your sight next... that would be a shame.

Not sure how a broken nose would keep you out for a long time. I caught an elbow and had my nose smashed over to one side of my face. I was back in after a time out, I figured it already needed to be mashed back into place and if it got hit again it wouldn't hurt any worse than the original blow.

poosay.

An athlete and a scholar. I am sure you were quite the basketball player in your day, but Rip is a professional athelete and needs to maintain perfect physical health. There are millions of dollars invested in this man and his family's livelihood depends on this. Seems like he has much more at stake then you did...even though I am sure that upcoming JV County Christmas Invitational Tournement was a very big deal for you at the time.

Nice. :dunno:

Still doesn't explain how one can't play with a broken nose. Or how a broken nose would keep you out for an extended period.

Exactly... Hamilton must be a vag. I broke my nose during a game and after a trip to the bathroom to clean up I was back in.

Again, he suffered multiple broken noses. I assume damaging the same body part repetively would exponentially increase the severity of each new injury. Ofcourse, I make this assumption as a layman. We need real answers. I have been trying to contact the Piston team physician, but he is out of his office (code for playing golf) for the day. Maybe I'll try back tommorrow.

Were you checked out by an elite team of doctors and trainers? Were you worth tens of millions of dollars?

Oh...you mean nobody gave a rats ass when you broke your nose?

I'm not sure why hamilton needs to wear one but I remember when Ray Bourque got some injury above his nose once, the doctors told him that if he ever got hit there gain he could be in serious trouble. Thats why he started wearing a visor. He hated wearing it at first but now everyone wears them. Maybe hamilton had a similar injury.

No, im just not a poosay like Hamilton. If Rip was any good he would be stepping back and knocking down 3s instead of stepping up and hitting little fairy mid range jumpers.

And it is a proven fact one must have a purty nose to play B-ball. :D

WTF are you talking about "exponentially increased severity"??????? It gets broke, it gets smashed back in place.

Rub some dirt on it and get back in the game. :wall:

Look, I agree he should have at least called him Richard. But, don't pretend that you have NO IDEA how he thought it was Rick instead of Rip...

1. Rip is not even a real name.

2. Both are 1 syllable words that...

3. Begin with the same two letters.

4. Go Artest!

No, im just not a poosay like Hamilton. If Rip was Reggie Miller he would be stepping back and knocking down 3s instead of stepping up and hitting little fairy mid range jumpers.

Fixed. :D

In 2006, total 3 point shots made: Chauncey ranks 16th, Rasheed is 21st, and Tayshaun is 37th. They are shooting 35%, 35%, and 37% respectively. The Pistons do not need more 3 point shooters. They are loaded with guys trying to take 3s. Rip knows that we need scoring in other ways and he has a very consistent inside game. Despite all that Rip still manages to be a very effective 3 point shooter. This year he shot 34% from the behind the arc. Good, but topped by his 05-06 three point shooting percentage of 46%.

He is very underappreciated by fans around the NBA. He is a career 45% FG shooter and is 85% from the line. Averages 19 points a game. Pulls in 4 boards and tosses 4 dimes a game; only 2 turnovers. Doesn't get into foul trouble. He is also very durable: starting in no less then 75 games a year and playing between 32 and 39 minutes a game. He is a rock of consistency and an outstanding playoff performer who has hit some extremely clutch shots. If there is a last shot, I'd rather Rip taken then any Piston- including Chauncey.

In conclusion, you are a mindless poosay.
