Jeremy 0 Posted May 21, 2007 Index and Pro Forecast come out early to mid July, I believe. There will be some that start popping up in June. I usually buy an early one and then wait to get Index and Pro Forecast. This year, I'm not really getting the itch for fantasy football for some reason. I may just get the two mags this year, if that.

Nate Burleson's Burly Son 0 Posted May 21, 2007 Those who rely on the mags to do their drafting for them are doomed to fail, but I love the Fantasy Football Index. It's got all the stats and facts you need to form your own opinions, and I find it to be the best, and only mag I read every year. I take it with me to work, for any downtime I might have, and it accompanies me to the can (twice a day), all summer. By draft day, I've probably read through it three times, and I'm ready to go. Not worth the money if you're living and dying by the mag but you're right. They make great crapper companions.
DamageIncVacc 6 Posted May 22, 2007 The magazines for me are good reading. I get PC Magazine to read about all the latest PC info that I can get on the web weeks earlier but I enjoy reading all the magazines about computers, same as most magazines or the daily paper but if its my interest or hobby I like to sit in my yard or on the train to work and read . I read comic book magazines (as a collector), I can get all that info from the web but its not the same, I enjoy reading about my hobbys. One of my hobbys is Fantasy Football and I enjoy reading magazines dealing with it. For me its reading enjoyment of my hobby not getting information to win my league nessesarily. I just love to read the magazines and purchase 4-5 every season.

I take my mag from last year with all the auction values and see where I messed up and what steals I could have had like instead of getting Randy Moss for $35, I could have had Frank Gore for $15 to team with Steven Jackson. Certainly don't base any drafting stratagy on magazines published during the summer, but gives me something to read at work on slow nights. I've bought just about every one I've seen every season for years. FF Index is best by far.

Love football so much I would read just about anything relating to it. My buddies and I start our mock drafts in June and we love it. Go Steelers!
