I'm looking for a word that means basically a predictor, metric - something of another activity.

 

 

For example, using uncashed payroll checks x gross revenues to solve for uncashed AP checks x gross revenues.

 

 

Or, more fittingly, using I dunno - pass attempts x number of games to predict passing TD's in a season.
