Then in the late 60's the riots came and anyone who could leave was driven out by the criminals and the corrupt politicians. I'm not saying those three deserved to die (or that the fourth deserved to be shot in the face), but there's no denying that the people of Newark have brought this kind of garbage upon themselves. who cares if newark is a piece of sh1t? what does that have to do with the crime? i am telling you that this was not a drug deal, this was not a regular ass murder. these were good kids that were lined up and shot dead. that story had it been with victims that were not black would have garnered sympathy from geeks IF the victims were white. that is my issue, because the media has done it's job by covering it. i am proud of the media but disappointed by you all. btw, newark was never nice for it's black residents, hence the riots. it was and still is segregated. Sounds like the Messican turned himself in for fear of getting killed if he WASN'T in jail. I read a stat last night that African Americans, while comprising only 13% of the populace, are victims in 49% of all murders. (apologies if I'm getting that wrong). That's a damn shame. Really a recipe for a sort of pathology if you will. Yeah, some kids (too many) put themselves at higher risk, but some are just unfortunate victims of where they were born. Killed simply for being at the wrong place at the wrong time - in a neighborhood filled with too many wrong places and wrong times. GB the families of these kids.
