TylerRoseFan 16 Posted August 12, 2007 I was gonna grill, but it's too focking hot out. I opted for some oven fried chicken. Double dipped in my secret batter mixed w/ the appropriate cajun spices. Prolly will have TRF Jr. go outside and grill up some deer sausage and boudin. What's on your grill?
joeshushu 51 Posted August 12, 2007 Just burgers pre-seasoned from Whole foods. Actually not bad. Yea it is hot and burgers only take a few minutes.

Sho Nuff 720 Posted August 13, 2007 Too hot? Focking pansies. Its never too hot or too cold to grill. Had some nice thick cut pork chops with a bit of garlic, seasoned pepper, lawreys, and cajun seasoning. Damn tasty.

kutulu 1,676 Posted August 13, 2007 Marinated some chicken breasts in some of this (added some chopped up onions and celery) and cooked it super slow. Came out pretty excellent.
supermike80 1,902 Posted August 13, 2007 Took a couple chicken breasts and sprinkled some caribbean jerk seasoning on them. Grilled then added a layer of KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce. OMG was it focking fantastic. I also like to take red skin potatoes, cut them in half and place in a tin foil wrap with a little butter, salt and pepper. I put the flat(sliced) side down on the grill and cook for about 10 mins before I start the chicken. They get a little charred, even with the foil, and have a nice carmellized taste to them. Didn't have a fresh veggie available, so I just stuck a can of italian green beans on the grill to heat them up. YUM!!!

Pretty tender but a little dry. Not to critisize you cooking ability but you over cooked it. Elk is a very lean meat best done to about Medrare. I know its wild game but it wont kill you. Next time try this. Cube up your elk meat in about one inch cubes, season with pepper and a little loweries seasoning salt (not too much) fry in a pan with butter, mushrooms and onion. I usaly start my onions and shrooms first and then add the elk. Cook elk to Medrare and enjoy with an ice cold beer. We do this almost every icefishing trip, its fanfuckingtastic! Artist Formerly Known as Big O 0 Posted August 13, 2007 Saturday, we had dinner with the neighbors (his wife: 34b I'd guess) Grilled some top sirloins with olive oil and s&p, turned out very nice, but everyone prefered them medium well as opposed to the PROPER medium rare baked beans (ranch style beans, black beans, brown sugar, onions, ketchup and mustard) fresh steamed green beans in butter and Tony Cachere's diced roasted red potatoes with onions, garlic and olive oil homemade oreo mud pie courtesy of the nieghbor's wife about a bottle's worth of Grey goose and Tonics

Yeah I know I overcooked them a little, they seemed to cook a bit faster than I was expecting. I usually enjoy med rare. Still seemed slightly dryer than beef at the same doneness. If I get ahold of some more I will try that recipe. Thanks

Just take any potatoes and slice them thin..quarter a few carrots, or cut baby carrots in half...slice up about 1/2 an onion....with about a stick of butter, salt and pepper...wrap in foil and grill about 45 minutes...flipping halfway through....damn good potatoes...and the charred part is the best. Sho Nuff 720 Posted August 13, 2007 Ribeye's with just a little garlic salt. mmm... and fyi. Ribeye > Filet. HTH. Flavor > Tender. I agree...flavor is more important...which is why I pick the filet...just tastes better to me. Ribeyes blow. Give me a Filet, a strip, even a good sirloin cooked properly over a ribeye anyday.
