AP preseason top 25

Recommended Posts

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/rankingsindex

USC #1....Michigan #5....they should be #2 or 3.

Michigan loses 3 games this year, put that in your focking book bag and walk around campus with it, Mr. College Bound Assshat.

The AP was right on, and most importantly, gives WVU complete control of its destiny-if they go undefeated, they are in the championship game.

Nebraska is only #19? They havent lost a game all season! And to put a winless West Virginia at #3 borders on ridiculous!!

TEXAS has a lot to prove for the #4 ranking. A decent schedule.

Offense should be good, monster Oline, veteran solid recieving core.

Running back with something to prove.

A QB that needs to live up to the media's love affair with him.

Lookin forward to the season.

Have Tech and Nebraska at home. At the aggies, showdown in Dallas with ou.

Lots of good teams in Big 12. it will be hard for any team from the Big 12 to not get a loss at any time.

 I'm still in tears here.

I must admit liking the rationalization in the sackcarr forum. One guy said OSU might lose a game before they matchup with U of M as justification that this loss might not be so bad. :D

Also, you ever gonna send me my hat from cmh's March Madness contest? Gratefulted sent me a sweet UCLA hat after they lost to Florida.

They average that under Lloyd Carr. I constantly blast them on the airwaves about it. You can't be an 'elite' program and lose

so many games.

Now, we just need a few others to realize they aren't nearly as good as they think; perhaps that can compel some of the more moronic fans to stfu

i'm not scared of the big ten anymore... originally i was because i'm not sure how talented we are... lost tate, our best WR is probably suspended for the year for stealing credit cards... BUT... still have our top 2 RB tandem coming back, and a D that can't be messed with

where's donhaas at... sep 22 it's ON!!! the bucky will be embarrassed in madison... iowa D is not to be messed with this year

Congrats on being slightly above average in the worst power conference in football.

in terms of having 'the best team' the big 10 is behind other conferences, but top to bottom it is always a very strong conference. i'd put the middle and bottom teams of the big 10 up against the middle/bottom teams of almost every other conference.

but as far as having a USC or LSU caliber team... no the big ten doesn't have that this year

Agreed.

Still think the SEC has the best conference in football. Stronger at the top and at the bottom.

it's not even that strong at the top anymore. It's sort of like the Pac10 would be without USC being a juggernaut. That's what the ACC is like without the Miami of old.

and after watching va tech the other day... their 'best in the nation D' didn't look so hot... they are lucky to be in the ACC... they'd get beat up in any other conference

Definitely. That offense is pathetic, and the D isn't as amazing as advertised. Unless the offense was running a sweep or something to the sideline so the LBs could chase them down, they seemed soft.

Was it just me, or did LSU's d just look crazy? Like men playing around w/ their kids...letting them complete the occasional pass to make them feel good about themselves.

Personally I wasnt too impressed. To me the Defense looked sloppy. This was a close game for the first half, and they need to be putting the Miss. States of the world out in the first quarter. That performance would not cut it against UF. Granted, the whole point of scheduling the cupcakes is to see what needs to be worked on and iron out the kinks before it really matter (except Michigan I guess), but I think the defense needs to be more disciplined and the offense needs to get their sh1t together quick.
