GBFAVRE4 0 Posted September 8, 2007 UNLV has a decent run defense, so they matchup up well with a grind it out Wisconsin team. Wash St's defense isn't all that good, so Wisc got a lot more points than usual last week. UNLV showed me something with their come from behind road win last week; basically UNLV has some spark this season, and it's too early in the year for their annual quitting-on-the-season.. It's a lot to ask to cover a big spread like this on the road when you will try to run the ball 50 times in the game. The UNLV QB looked decent last week, including running for 150 yards. It might be tough to defend a dual threat QB like UNLV's Dixon. It will be an ugly game, but I think UNLV hangs inside the number. PB with soooo many Badger fans drinking their way to Las Vegas this week, the atmosphere will be like Camp Randall West....it will be a 'home' game of sorts for the Big Red Machine!! phillybear 366 Posted September 8, 2007 phillis, i was thru page four when i skipped ahead to try and talk you outta that emu play. save the unit or move it somewhere else. no need to shred me for lack of a write up, due to lack of time, but i've always appreciated your postings so i wanted to chime in... cheers I remembered this post and you were right. I should have heeded your advice. But my bet was already in. Ball St bounced back strong today. Nice call.

Thanks PB....You think these kids went out!? I am sure they were catching up on homework all week.... Lets keep this Washington lead, and then roll into the evening games. phillybear 366 Posted September 8, 2007 Time to chalk up Oregon as a winner. Wow. That one was easy. Michigan really sucks this year. After some drunken calculations, I'm unofficially up on the day. Let's keep it going. I want to rebound into the positive numbers after this weekend.

phillybear 366 Posted September 8, 2007 Nice. Chalking up Washington for the first 3 unit win of the day, and it's basically the first 3 unit of the day. It's kind of poetic. I've been an advocate at FFT for the WAC conference, especially last year. The WAC went 4-0 ATS and 3-1 SU in bowl games last year, with the only blemish Nevada not beating Miami straight up. After advocating Boise St for a share of the national championship, it is certainly weird, that I bet against their 14 game winning streak, as with a big bet against them, oversaw their nationl funeral. Washington will be a force this year. they beat up Boise St with ease. They are a team to keep an eye on.

JetsFan28 0 Posted September 8, 2007 nevermind..refs should have overturned it...1st and goal fresno st That was horrible officiating. That was reviewed 2 or 3 times, and they forgot about the flag on the play (roughing the passer)? What a joke. Game should have been over but due to the fact that they cameraman along the goal line passed out from heat exhaustion earlier, they were without that angle. Bad job. Even though it's a crappy way to end a game, it should have clearly been over. Plus, the fact that the official originally marked him out at the 1 is a joke. He took a guess at what happened on the play and got it completely wrong.

brownmikey 0 Posted September 9, 2007 First time posting my picks, i spent most of last year riding the picks of phiily and hurrricane. I see no one talking about the georgia game this week. Georgia is-3.5 at home against S.C. I thought Georgia looked very strong last week against Oky St. Think they'll win by at least 7+. Other games i like: Akron +29, OSU looked very unimpressive against Div. II YSU WIN Bama -3.5 WIN Cal -14, They looked all world last week LOSS LSU -11.5, They looked like they finally got their legs under them in the second half. WINNING Cinn. +3, only b/c Philly is high on them. WIN Looks like a good week so far. Had a few other winners; Akron/OSU under, Penn St., Wash., and FL. Int.. but didn't have the chance to post them. Overall i am 7-3 with LSU and UNLV left to play. Thanks Philly for the help.
Bouve-Rules 0 Posted September 9, 2007 Added: Oregon +8 UNLV +25.5 Big Ten looks soft again in week 2 - could be a trend that I want to jump on early. Did everyone go to bed? Have to bump my own post because it may be the only time I take home money this year. Jim Beam and I are celebrating a nice little Saturday. I even hit the 3-Team Philly Bear Parlay (Wash, AF and CMU). Thanks PB!! As a Badger fan it was tough to bet against them tonight, but 25 points was too many. Hoping for a favorable half-time number for a generous middle on the game. We'll see......

Bouve-Rules 0 Posted September 9, 2007 Bouve are you taking LSU -6 2nd half? If Wisconsin is trailing at half, I will be taking WI in the 2nd half. Staying away from LSU 2nd half.

Mad Matt 0 Posted September 9, 2007 "Not a fan of Michigan, but I think they respond to last week's loss with a W. in the big house. If they Lose. It will set the program back 4 years at least. No way. " This is a quote from me earlier in the week. I was wrong. Record setting wrong.
Bouve-Rules 0 Posted September 9, 2007 More fan than handicapper..... Wisconsin -13.5 (2nd Half) Nice middle opportunity if Wisconsin wins by 16 through 25 - other than that, I push on the game. Solid cappers would be disgusted at this type of move, but I really need to cheer for Bucky the rest of the way. Signing off for tonight. FYI - I love the Rams tomorrow!! Yer mom 2 Posted September 9, 2007 After scanning the lines, here are tomorrows plays: Oklahoma State team total OVER 38 (vs. Florida Atlantic) After last week at GA, looking to light up offensively at home W LSU V-Tech UNDER 38 Too much emotion, too much D, lack of QB experience. Lots of 3 and outs. L Kentucky -12.5 (vs. Kent State) Kentucky will hang a 35+ on em, Kent St prolly wont score 21 W California -14 Not a big fan of betting Cal on the road, but superior athletic difference here. 42-17 CAL L West Virginia team total OVER 42.5 White and Slaton will terrorize the Herd, should have 28+ by the half W Hawaii team total OVER 50.5 - Great road team, no philosophy change when on the road, throwthrowthrow. Brennan had 6 TDs in first half of last weeks game, albeit a weaker D but no matter. They should have 35 by the half. L Boston College -13.5 (vs. NC State) 35-17 type game, enough for the cover W Penn St team total OVER 30.5 - I like the line, I can definately see them scoring 31. A win is a win W ADDED: WV/Marshall OVER 63 W I dont like this week all of a sudden, im looking at the above mentioned plays and feeling like its gonna be a 5-3 type week, ill take the profit though Good Luck!! Just as I predicted, id go 5-3 Fortunately added teh WV/Marshall OVER to make it a 6-3 day. Good Luck!!
