GiantsRule 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Geez, if I knew that the Marshall & W. Virginia QBs were allergic to passing, I would have POUNDED the under (63.5)!!!
American Chewy 98 Posted September 8, 2007 Can Fla state score 35 points?? heh its more of a uab fade than an fsu play. i certainly hope they can.
Yer mom 2 Posted September 8, 2007 Geez, if I knew that the Marshall & W. Virginia QBs were allergic to passing, I would have POUNDED the under (63.5)!!! WV is just killin me right now, they could/should blow the doors wide open with down the field passing which Marshall will not be able to stop but arent doing so. Doesnt help either when WRs are dropping easy slant passes for 7. Frustrating display early on
Grind 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Yep. The stats are the product of the matchups last week. Central Mich got throttled on the road at Kansas, and Toledo lost badly at home to a mediocre Purdue team. After Gradkowski graduated, Toledo has had serious issues at QB, and it looks more of the same this year. Centr Mich won the MAC last year, won their bowl game, and still should be among the class of the MAC this year. Honestly, I don't understand why this line isn't higher than -3. I can't find any angle to support Toledo, and believe me, I looked. CMU lost a great coach to Cinci over the off-season plus two players to the NFL in the first two rounds. I like CMU, but not sure they are anywhere's close to what they were last year. As you can see from Cinci's results Thursday, Brian Kelly is a great coach and was a huge loss for the Chips. rottytiny 7 Posted September 8, 2007 What do you guys think of Georgia -4 and Penn State -18? Thats the 2 games I'm looking at today. Usually stick to NFL and only go college in the Bowls but I think I'll dabble in college today. Any thoughts on those 2 games? Thanks, guys?
phillybear 366 Posted September 8, 2007 CMU lost a great coach to Cinci over the off-season plus two players to the NFL in the first two rounds. I like CMU, but not sure they are anywhere's close to what they were last year. As you can see from Cinci's results Thursday, Brian Kelly is a great coach and was a huge loss for the Chips. Agree that the coach leaving was a big loss, but their star QB is back, and underrated Ontario Sneed at RB has been pounding out yardage for seemingly forever. The offense should still have the tools to score a bunch of points, and this is an ideal opponent for them to get back on track. They may take a small step back, but they were so dominant last year, they are still most likely the team to beat in the MAC. I guess we will see over the next few weeks how the MAC shakes out. Yer mom 2 Posted September 8, 2007 Geez, if I knew that the Marshall & W. Virginia QBs were allergic to passing, I would have POUNDED the under (63.5)!!! Dont look now, but 2 TDs is easily doable now that WV's O is rollin
GiantsRule 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Dont look now, but 2 TDs is easily doable now that WV's O is rollin Pretty crazy. West Virginia was -13.5 in the 2nd half meaning they just had to win by a touchdown. Looked good early in the 3rd, but now a bit shaky. I'm pulling for you! Parlay looking meh at this point. Got a gift TD from Nevada on the last play of the half and only need 19 points. But Bowling Green-Michigan State started off slow and I need 30 points in the 2nd half and Minnesota couldn't convert a 4th down in Miami-OH's red zone and now I'm down 27. Don't expect these things to hit, but it makes these early games more exciting nonetheless!

I'm pulling for you! I took the team total over 42.5 for 50, writin that one off. Took the over 63 as well this morning for 100 so if that pans out, all is well. Off to the Rose Bowl! Good Luck!! Off to the Rose Bowl! Good Luck!! 64 on the nose for the over! Just need WV to hold on to cash the -13.5 2nd half line. Nice insurance TD by WV and with that, Yer Mom hits his team over. Bouve-Rules 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Bouve-Rules Morning Card: OKLAHOMA -11 (2 units) Temple -3.5 Wake Forest +9 PhillyBear Special: 3-Team Parlay (CMU -3, Wash +3, AFU +7.5) for 1 unit Finally bit the bullet and signed up with Bodog again (I'm sorry Newbodog). Per usual, Bodog offers great lines if you like to play underdogs - not so good if you like the chalk. That helped last night with a push on Navy (+17)! Afternoon and evening leans: UNLV +25 (line will only go higher at Bodog) Nortre Dame +17.5 (ditto) Georgia -3.5 (watching to see if this dips at all) Good luck to everyone - Go Sooners! Added: Oregon +8 UNLV +25.5 Big Ten looks soft again in week 2 - could be a trend that I want to jump on early.

phillybear 366 Posted September 8, 2007 Crap. Cal just broke a screen pass for 64 yards to go up 20 with 5 minutes to go. Bad beat if Col St doesn't back door it. Sigh. Another sluggish start early on a Saturday. It would be nice if Washington could hold onto the lead they've built up. But I'm pessimistic. Fock.

Wow. 70 yard bomb for a TD by Col St. Back door open for business. 34-21. Now don't give up any more points. Recovered the onside kick. This game is getting interesting. phillybear 366 Posted September 8, 2007 Washington up 24-10 at the half. Oregon up 32-7. Col St cuts it to 34-28. After focking around with the smaller plays early, and watching Temple sh!t the bed, this is the start of the bigger bets. I am cautiously optimistic. Which is my fatal mistake, as these games will somehow lose by one point each. Pour another drink. Pessimism running wild.

phillybear 366 Posted September 8, 2007 Congrats. BS loss for the Cal backers, but it's why I rarely take the big spreads. There were a lot of Cal backers. I feel bad for them. But Cal played flat, as would be expected coming off a huge revenge win over Tennessee. Plus, Col St lost the turnover battle 3-0, and it seemed like Cal was in Col St territory almost the whole time the last 3 quarters. Longshore looked pretty awful today. But it was a letdown situation, and Cal still almost covered. Cal is going to be a dangerous team going forward.

phillybear 366 Posted September 8, 2007 Anything on Washington or Oregan at the half? With such a busy schedule today, and betting on so many games, i don't really do much with halftime bets on Saturdays. I usually bet 2nd halfs if I'm losing the game, and my team gives me optimism for a comeback, or it's a game I had no action to begin with. If I'm up at the half, I'll usually let it ride. I'm rambling, but I'm picking up the pace of my drinking, so I expect to sound like an ass with most of the rest of my posts today. At the very least, a bigger ass than usual. No plays from me. Letting it ride.
mikecass7 0 Posted September 8, 2007 TD BC!! cmon now...dont take your defensive starters out like Cal did... Not happening IMO. Its time to run up the score. Although, the back doors wide open I see this one going all BC from here on out.

phillybear 366 Posted September 8, 2007 Also, I passed on the CFL game today, but I'm pretty sure I'm taking British Columbia tomorrow for 3 units. Montreal is missing their best player on offense, QB Anthony Calvillo. And the backups are nothing special. BC has beaten Montreal by double digits in all four meetings over the last 2 years. For what it's worth.
