redtodd 7 Posted December 14, 2007 I'm not crazy about cheating, adulturing, being a bastard factory, Vrabeling into the QBs knees five seconds after the play is over with 10 seconds left in the game, Wilforking a QB knees, classlessly running up the score, etc.... At the same time, I'm sure there are good guys on the Patriots who do good things and just kind of look the other way and say, "Yes, our coach is an a-hole prone to cheating, but he wins" or "Yes, our QB is a bastard factory who classlessly throws 4th quarter 4th down touchdowns up 45-0, but look at his career stats before Moss came on board.... they're Charlie Batchesque... He needs this for his confidence." So, it's hard to hate a whole team based upon the actions of a few bad apples... It's basically the bandwagoning Patriot fans that are annoying.... But they're more funny than anything. I'm sure the Patroits players didn't appreciate nobody coming to their games until they started winning, but that's all water under the bridge now. Further, it's hard to hate anybody when you root for the greatest, classiest, most-championed team in the history of the NFL with the greatest quarterback who didn't need his kicker and defense to win a title (and didn't have everybody feel so sorry for him that they gave him the MVP for throwing for 125 yards ) and who doesn't need Randy Moss to Culpooper up his Hugh Millen*-like lifetime stats. *Patriot fans: Hugh Millen was your quarterback on your 1-15 team in the '90s long before any of you started following your team.... Apparently junkie QB's are OK. What about CB's (Al Harris) who deliberately use their helmet to take out the other team's star RB's knee (Adrian Peterson)? Too funny. Your trying really hard. Favre's Pain Killer addiction- 10 years ago, which he got over, while keeping a relationship with wife and kids. I don't know why this is a bad thing? Fans appretiate normal guys that happen to be big stars at the QB position. What guy hasn't went out and gotten bombed? How many young guys take extra pain killers to feel a high? Al Harris hit...hahah........look again, his pads hit AD, not his helmet. AD didn't complain nor did anyone else. It was a tackle in the open field. AD is the toughest runner to bring down. Al Harris is 180 lbs. How do you want him to get tackled? I'm guessing you are one of those "you cannot touch the QB at all or its 15 yards" guys....maybe because you think football is a tickling contest, or your dear Brady will get a little mud on his uni for once. If it is wrong for Wilfork's tackle, it is wrong for Harris's. Simple as that. Trust me, no one on the Patriots wants J.P. Lostman out of the game. Every Packer wanted Peterson out of the game (and they succeeded).
Sho Nuff 720 Posted December 14, 2007 Nice intelligent response. As if anything you have said in this thread contained one ounce of intelligence. Just look at your response above this about Al Harris...whose helmet got nowhere near Peterson's knee. Its a tip that his shoulder hit Peterson's thigh. What part of this picture is Harris leading with his helmet and not his shoulder? http://www.startribune.com/galleries/11820246.html Wilfolk went after a QB's knee...well after the play. Harris went low on a RB who is much bigger than him...during the course of the play...and did not touch his knee. And why did we want Peterson out of the game? It was the 3rd quarter and they were doing little to nothing in that game with or without him.

You are making things up. Why would he want Lostman out of the game? You can keep repeating that Wilfolk did not go for his knee...but its obvious he did...and obvious that Harris hit (with his shoulder) above Peterson's knee. There is a reason why I have not heard a single Viking complain about the hit...yet plenty of people had things to say about Wilfolk's. Including the NFL fining him 12,500. Harris got hit with a whopping 0 fine...and no flag. Nice fishing trip though.

Abusing Pain Killers........Beating and killing dogs while fighting them illegally? Going to jail for 2 years........not going to jail? Yup about the same things? Regular people don't kill dogs. You act like taking pain killers and getting hooked on them, when your career is getting knocked around by 300 lbers is the worst thing in the world. He know he had a problem, got help and fixed it. Like playing with a Borken thumb on his throwing hand a few years ago? Like playing last week with a numb/hurt elbow and a recovering dislocated shoulder?
