The Moz 69 Posted June 9, 2008 if the Celts can keep up this DEF...no way Kobe can turn this around....Celts win in 6 IMO He can if he really is LIKE MIKE! thats kinda my point man! IF LA can start knocking some 3's down it will open it up for Bryant a little - there will be at least 2 more games LA isn't hitting 3's great an Bryant will have to do it alone. Mike did -- If Kobe can maybe he is in that class.

Me_2006 14 Posted June 13, 2008 Lakers are fakers...CHOKED away the game No doubt. They'll win game 5 and lose game 6 in Boston. Unless it's written in the script otherwise.

kutulu 1,661 Posted June 13, 2008 KObe now has a shot to be LIKE MIKE! LA wins this series by him going off every game here on out -- then he can start saying IMO - he is LIKE MIKE. Jordan did that many times in the Finals and willed his team to a title - KObe does it then he can lay his claim. lets see. not like mike
Me_2006 14 Posted June 13, 2008 Not to sure they even win game 5....the wind has been taken out of the sail. Must win game, home court, Kobe Bryant- they'll at least push it to Boston.
$epphori$ 118 Posted June 13, 2008 not like mike more like Karl Malone
Me_2006 14 Posted June 13, 2008 more like Karl Malone Malone has three rings?
$epphori$ 118 Posted June 13, 2008 Malone has three rings? Has none...I am refering to the choke job that he did thru out his carear...comparing it to Kobe this yr
Day Old Doughnut 0 Posted June 13, 2008 Must win game, home court, Kobe Bryant- they'll at least push it to Boston. Great... I'm sure the Celtics would love to whip their ass in LA, but it would be sweeter for them to kick their ass in the Garden.
KSB2424 3,148 Posted June 13, 2008 Kobe = Scottie Pippin not MJ. HTH
mobb_deep 920 Posted June 13, 2008 This one stung. Congrats to the Celts.
Me_2006 14 Posted June 13, 2008 Has none...I am refering to the choke job that he did thru out his carear...comparing it to Kobe this yr I'm aware Malone has none, that's why I meant the comparison doesn't work. Kobe isn't choking, he just gets the blame regardless. That's part of being a star though, even if the team around you is soft.
KSB2424 3,148 Posted June 13, 2008 1. Played most of his career under Phil Jackson 2. Sulking attitude 3. underrated by some, but overrated by most 4. Second fiddle on Championship teams 5. Never won the big one on his own So which player fits this description? A. Scottie Pippin B. Kobe Bryant C. Both (aka the correct answer)

CantTouchThis 23 Posted June 13, 2008 This is why all the Kobe vs. MJ shat has to stop. NO WAY MJ lets a team choke like that, when Boston cut it to single digits, MJ would've dunked over KG a couple times to break their spirits and the lead would've balooned back up to 20. Also, it wouldn't even be close if you replace MJ with Kobe, with this team, MJ would've beat these Celtics in 5. Kobe isn't playing bad, he is playing good, but, he is just not taking the asserative role he should. There is a point if your Kobe you have to say "Fock this shat, i am winning this myself" he USE to do that a lot, and guess what, it worked a lot. If you are as talented as Kobe, you have to be selfish at times and take over a game. He hasn't done that yet in the in the finals. Like previously said, Kobe may be close to the talent of MJ, but he does not have the leadership and the killer instinct MJ had...nobody has and nobody will, that is what made MJ so great. Foghorn Leghorn 0 Posted June 13, 2008 The Celtics have done an awesome job of keeping Gasol in check, which to me has been the difference this series. Kobe will be Kobe, and he will get his points - well, keeping him from putting up 45+ helps too. But with the exception of Game 3, when some no name lit up the Celtics and was the difference (thereby filling the gap of Gasol getting shut down), the Celtics have made Gasol a non-factor in this series. Apparently they had the best defence in the regular season for a reason.

I agree. Seeing Kobe cracking jokes in the post-game should be disturbing to Laker fans. Jordan would have been furious and embarrassed - not looking to make sound bites about "wetting the bed". Foghorn Leghorn 0 Posted June 13, 2008 Actually, listening to the great Phil Jackson spew out cliche after cliche in the post-game was pretty entertaining.
