No, I was talking about the Game thread. Someone watching the game filled us in on the low down. It's no big deal or anything. Just letting you know where someone who is actually watching the game has posted about what is going on with K Smith. I believe he is just ridding the bench for no apparent reason if you can believe that. Freaking Lions.

I hope it is not the Rudi show, my thinking is that it is another blow out and they are getting Rudi carries.

I can believe that because it is the focking Lions. How do you bench a RB that has gone 3 for 14 guy that early without injury concern? :pointstosky:

Being a Packers fan... I think this is intentional some how.

Now it's the Rudi show.

Now it is San Fran in prevent defense and Rudi gets yardage by default.... Why they benched Smith is beyond me...

I see Johnson scored a td..then I see I didn't get points for it, I'm like wtf? Then I realize its ###### Rudi Johnson. For someone that's starting Calvin and Kevin Smith, my blood is absolutely boiling right now

Are you guys watching this game?

Forget the stats, if RUDI is out there GRAB HIM NOW!!!

If i was the coach, i would bench K. Smith too. I guess they saw something good during practice with Rudi.

Rudi Johnson looked great today. He ran fast and with power. His pass blocking was solid too. It was only a matter of time.

It looks like he's really getting a hold of this offense: 14 carries for 83 yards and 3 receptions for 48 yards (plus a touchdown)

Need some insight or some updated info on this...

Kevin Smith really benched? For what? He's looked promising and shown talent...

What happened?

Any word on what the future holds for DET backfield? I'll accept simple speculation if its educated, I didn't get to see the game so I'm going nuts trying to find the facts and peice together what the hell is going on.

He talked a good game but never really produced the 1st 2 games. Him not being able to run on SF tells you something

smith had 3 carries for 14 yards and then not another. thats a 4.5 YPC which is definitely respectable but then rudi got everything after that

im gonna bench him or trade him to a detroit fan in my league

Check his numbers for the season.

Or maybe Rudi is showing some real good stuff during practice which carried over into game play today!

I went searching some Lions Forums and only found one with any info. The poster basically said that Smith was missing a ton of blocks getting Kitna nailed for it. Since this was a Lion's fans observation of the game, take it for what it's worth.

Without seeing the game, I would tend to believe this if there isn't an injury. When your down 21 points so fast, you tend to need to throw more and need your back to block. Rudi has more size and experience in NFL blocking schemes.

Well, this is also no surprise.

if a rookie RB who runs effectively gets less reps or gets benched, this is usually the reason why.

According to the play by play Kevin Smith's last play was a Kitna sack and fumble. On the very next snap Rudi was in there. Although that didn't seem to stop Kitna getting sacked.
