FeelingMN 273 Posted October 29, 2010 Expected to practice fully today. Expected to play Monday. Where does it say he'll practice fully? Not that it much matters. He's going to play. The question becomes what's the workload....and nobody is gonna know that exactly until MNF.
PATSSOX 22 Posted October 29, 2010 Donald Brown expects to play Monday night Brown Colts RB Donald Brown (hamstring) expects to play Monday night against the Texans. "If the game were today, I'd play," Brown assured Friday morning. He expects to push his nagging right hamstring by returning to practice Friday afternoon, and the Colts will practice again Saturday. With Joseph Addai (shoulder) expected to be held out, Brown stands a good chance of starting and splitting the workload with Mike Hart. kmbryant09 1 Posted October 29, 2010 And most of the dam Colts fans want to b!tch and cry about the Patriots and how they handle injuries Looks to me the Colts may have figured out it might actually help if they only disclose the minimum info nothing more nothing less I've never had a problem with the injury reports - if it's legal/mostly ethical, then it's fair game. But I thought it was funny as f*#% what happened with Brady. What, like 4 straight years listed as probable with a shoulder injury? Then Week 1, 2008...his first time not showing up on the injury report, torn ACL. Karma, it's a funny thing. (I think I have that story right).

Maybe the Colts have been doing the same thing for years but i never really noticed it but about the time i noticed that like to be vague about injuries half their studs go down Clark-done Collie-out for weeks Wayne-hurt hammy Brown-hasnt played in years

Maybe the Colts have been doing the same thing for years but i never really noticed it but about the time i noticed that like to be vague about injuries half their studs go down Clark-done Collie-out for weeks Wayne-hurt hammy Brown-hasnt played in years No, you are missing my point. The Colts report everything accurately - but just very vague, and make no conclusions until they absolutely have to. Wayne was limited in practice with a hammy - that's fact. They never DECEIVE - they never said anything wrong/contradictory about Clark's injury or Collie's surgery. With Brady & the Pats - they were simply reporting that Tom Brady was "probable" because he was limited in practice with a shoulder injury...for 5 years?? kmbryant09 1 Posted October 29, 2010 are you serious?? Who the hell cares if Brady had a sore shoulder and they listed him as probable And how do you or anyone else know they were lying? Never said I had a problem with it...follow my logic: 1. Pats made it a tradition to put Brady on the injury report EVERY WEEK FOR 3-5 YEARS with a sore shoulder, listed him as probable...No problem, but still makes you say, "uhh why". 2. Week 1 of 2008, it's the first week they DON'T have him on the injury list for 3-5 years. 3. First quarter - he tears his ACL. That's funny stuff.

Watch it your favorite son Manning is next anyway back to the subject of the thread * Brown to practice, should play Following up a previous report, the Indianapolis Star reports that Colts RB Donald Brown will practice Friday and test his hamstring. Assuming he suffers no setbacks, he will play Monday vs. the Texans. Brown has missed the last three game since he was hurt Sept. 26 against Denver. We expect Brown to be listed as questionable for the game against the Texans, but that could be a cautious approach. With Joseph Addai unlikely to play and Mike Hart a healthy but inexperienced choice, Brown could see around 12 to 15 touches against a Houston run defense that's allowed over 100 yards per game on average and six rushing touchdowns this year. Brown's never had a big game against the Texans, but he's never had an opportunity like this. Consider him a No. 3 RB or flex option if it appears as if he'll play on Monday -- practicing on Friday and Saturday is a good enough sign.

Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted October 29, 2010 Donald Brown (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Friday. This is a positive sign after Brown was held out of Thursday's practice drills altogether. The 2009 first-round pick plans to play on Monday night, and we consider him a superior fantasy start in comparison to Mike Hart. Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter Huh. I was hoping to hear he was a full participant but all signs are leading toward him playing. And the Colts will have practice tomorrow as well.
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted October 29, 2010 if brown plays...do u think he is a better option than shonne green vs gb? I don't personally. Greene plays on a very good running team and the Packers defense is being held together with dental floss. I don't feel very good about this game as a Packer fan. Brown could be good but Indy typically runs much less than the Jets and they're not as good at it either.

PATSSOX 22 Posted October 30, 2010 Brown looks good at practice from CBS: * Brown looks good in practice Colts RB Donald Brown [hamstring] came through Friday's practice in relatively good shape, according to coach Jim Caldwell. Brown has missed the last three games. "He did well. He came through [the practice] and he feels good today," Caldwell said. "He feels really good." Brown is questionable for the Monday night game against the Texans, which are ranked 14th against the run and have allowed an average of 20 Fantasy points to opposing RBs on the season. Brown sounds like he could get on the field on Monday night for the first time in three weeks. 3 RB or flex option as it appears as if he'll play on Monday. PATSSOX 22 Posted October 30, 2010 rotoworld: Addai doubtful while Brown practices fully Addai Joseph Addai (shoulder) missed Colts practice Saturday and is listed as doubtful for Monday's Week 8 game against Houston. Addai will not be active for Monday Night Football in Week 8, and is week to week. Donald Brown fully practiced Saturday and is listed as questionable, though he's fully expected to play. Brady was probable in Week 1 of 2008 (foot) with limited participation all week (foot, shoulder). I won't waste time in explaining why Brady is always listed as probable, but you could listen to Belichick pressers this week for some insight into the injury reports. BTW - Brown is probably a slightly better option, but I don't expect him to get more than 15 touches. That could be enough for 75 and a TD, though, so he could be a decent flex option or as a reach for those who have bye/injury problems.
