I understand not accepting some of the bs trades we all propose, but it seems he didn't propose any trades of his own in an attempt to start a QB this last month. Furthermore, there were 3 to 4 starting QBs on the waiver wire and he never grabbed one, despite having plenty of Nasty Bucks. He just took zeros and losses.

 

Moreso than anything that's come up in this league the past 3 years, this has got me upset. I don't want the issue to fade away just because he now has a QB. It's either cheating or it's an owner that puts in so little effort that we got other issues.

 

And apparently he doesn't feel like commenting. It's been a week. He's all over the Geek board. Whatever.

I have been staying out of it. I don't like it. I have been called out that I b!tch to much, and I do complain a fair amount, but it was all because I care, and all of my complaints had merit. The point is everytime I went in to get a QB and clicked 'add' it asked me to place a bid on the guy...and this is on like Saturday.

The waiver wire has worked the same way for 2.5 years. Everyone was confused at first, but we all managed to figure it out. Not to mention, you were never obligated to wait until Saturday to pick up a QB, especially when we knew for a fact Vick and Stafford were out way ahead of time.

 

The fact that "nobody I picked up off the waiver wire was going to score jack at the QB position" is beside the point. You owe it to the league to try and field a complete lineup and it is to be what you think is your best lineup.

 

Senneca Wallace scored 12 points when you could have had him. Todd Bouman scored 18 when you could have had him.

Here is what I would have accepted out of BLS.

 

"My team isn't that great so this league kind of got pushed to the back burner. While I knew I was down a QB, I didn't take the time to think about what a diick move it is to go a month without a full lineup. I hope I'm lucky enough that me choosing to not play a QB didn't cost anyone any wins or losses thus affecting the playoff picture, but now I realize I easily could have. And with points being a tiebreaker, I realize now that me not starting a QB could move me up in the draft as well. I apologize for that and will not let it happen again. I'm sorry.".

I understand people being stupid and messing up, and I am all for forgiving those people. Look how quickly we got over Neckbeards starting 2 guys that weren't playing. But the issue is BLS doesn't think he did anything wrong, and if he did then it's someone else's fault for choosing that website.

 

My vote is BLS goes. I hate saying that because this sort of thing isn't in my nature. And I will feel bad about it if enough agree with me and it happens. But I don't think BLS' actions are fair to anyone in the league, and I feel like his attitude indicates he doesn't care about being fair to anyone in the league.

I think you do a good job of organizing. We just have some pretty high maintenance owners in this league.

 

My only problem is we don't seem to have a very good set of rules. We have a pinned thread that explains the waiver wire and playoff's, that's it.

 

We need a more extensive list of rules that covers tanking games, incomplete rosters, any deadline, any rules regarding voting for changes (what can and can't be voted on, what % is required to change a setting, when and who can raise topics to be voted on, etc etc).

 

We can't punish BLS for not playing a QB, because we don't have a rule stating it's illegal!

If anyone cares... here's a exert out of the constitution I wrote for my league 5 years ago, for this exact situation.

 

G. Roger Goodell Rule:

1. No Manager shall take actions to intentionally lose games or points. These actions include, but are not limited to:

 Leaving Starting Roster positions empty.

 Benching top players.

 Releasing top players to Waiver Wire.

 Collusion: Managers taking collaborated actions to improve a team at the expense of another.

2. Any Manager(s) judged to be partaking in such actions will get last pick of the following year’s draft.

3. The Commissioner will have final rule in matters of fair play.

$$$ needs to transfer to commish since the commish hasn't been paying fees. I really don't agree with commish not paying fees but no one else seemed to care, but you aren't skating out paying fees and not being commish, not that you are much of one anyway. If you aren't going to commish you need to send all excess quitter fees to new commish.
