In college I just realized that people didn't say such things as cawfee when talking about coffee and adjusted accordingly. I sorta developed a slight Philly accent over the years. Not like hardcore south Philly or anything but I occasionally put weird emphasis on syllables if I don't catch myself. I never did adopt the weird sound they (the philly people) make though when they say water. They say it like wooder. Oh and when I get really animated about something, the NJ/NY comes out sometimes. I think it's because my brain disconnects from what I am saying and I just go on tangents. It's really not very noticeable though. Some people out here (in Ohio) think I have an East Coast accent, but that's because they talk in that annoying sing-songy midwest way which I will never pick up or I'd kill myself. Yeah real insomnia is no joke. I hope you find a way to resolve it. I watched a documentary on insomnia and it was a pretty devastating condition for some people where sleep aids didnt even do anything. Its just a really bad feeling when you cant get proper rest. I am lucky in that i fall asleep within minutes and stay asleep. The other part of the equation though is that i NEED almost 8 hours of sleep every night. If i go 2 nights in a row with only 6 hours (well not so bad when im not working but this is more for when im at work) all i want to do is crawl into bes and sleep for a day. Im usually a danger to drive home when i dont sleep enough. When i was young i had real problems falling asleep but luckily the sleep problems only arise when im having small panic attacks and anxiety issues, which isnt often. Let me re-phrase that; there will be a lot of people there who drink a lot lot. They are getting married at a paviliion and having the reception there. There are only four or five kids attending. The wedding is supposed to last five minutes and let the reception begin. I dont sound like a chicago city dweller but i do talk like a midwesterner/chotownian. The best way i can put it is when you watch a movie that is not specifically region oriented the typical way actors/actreces's speak is my accent.
