SUXBNME 1,352 Posted February 21, 2011 Fock your radiohead, muse, modest mouse, etc... 80's rock destroys all of this indie crap. Give Demartini a Jackson guitar, tune it down to a D, add a Marshall and you get amazing music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_gGWsqd8Ec&feature=related Why isn't there music like this anymore? Hard driving rock where the musicians actually have talent and just sing about having a good time, not how focked up the world is? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6d7g9PC1yA

NewbieJr 541 Posted February 21, 2011 Speaking of guitar players, I don't know if this actually happened or if it's urban legend, but I heard multiple times that Eddie Van Halen was interviewed many years ago and asked who the greatest guitarists are, and he mentioned Prince as being one of the best. Did you know, or have I ever mentioned who Eddie's first choice was to replace David Lee Roth. I heard him discuss it once. His first chice was Patty Smythe, and she damn near took the job. She would have but she had a 2 year old at the time. She later mentions that she regretted not atleast giving it a go, and making it work as a mom in rock.
