Never been a fan of Elton... it's amazing how many of his songs I like. Bernie was an extremely talented song writer, and Elton did those songs credit.

I mostly am not a fan. But, in the bar where we used to hang out in college, I remember it was. Hakkeem and the Rocket's and I knew they were gonna win. My friend was a big Seattle fan.

I actually had the bartender cue the juke box for "Rocket Man" which he turned back on like 30 seconds after the game ended. Best 5 bucks I ever spent.

I think it's gonna be a long, long time.

Seattle is not a basketball city. Anymore.

: The song "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" is about an episode in Elton's life. In the late sixties, he almost got married to a woman who didn't even like his music and what he was doing. He wanted to get out of that situation, but was too confused, and also didn't want to face her. So one night he got drunk, then left his friends at the bar and went home. When Bernie got back, he found Elton lying on the kitchen floor, his head on a pillow for comfort, the oven open letting gas fill the room. But there was also a window open. So Bernie started to laugh. :-)

I saw him and Billy Joel a few Years ago - I went for Billy Joel but was suprised at how good Elton was live - IMO maybe better than Billy. Rocketman was my favorite when he did it live but Benny and the Jets was pretty good also.
