Week 4 Waiver Wire

Recommended Posts

Spiller, Mcgahee, Wells, Bush down, Greene ineffective again

QB's

1) Shawn Hill- EZ pickup for Stafford owners, dude can still put up monster nos in that offense.

2) Carson Palmer- Still on a lot of waivers, garbage king

RB's

1) Daniel Thomas- Should be owned, but if not grab him!

2) Tashard Choice- possible 1 week filler, dont go overboard on this guy though, FJax might be back, Spiller 1-2 weeks possibly

3) Ryan Williams- was dropped in just one of my leagues, looked solid today, Beanie hurt again, this is currently my no 1 add

4) Ronnie Hillman/Knoshown Moreno- who knows who will be the one to grab, but Willis left the game injured

5) Bilal Powell- played quite a bit in OT and was more effective. His touches have been climbing weekly.

WR's

1) Ramses Barden- Nicks owners might want to grab him just in case

2) Julian Edelmen- his use wasnt a 1 week thing, hes a huge part of this NE offense

3) Nate Burleson- Got a lot of garbage time points this week (don't chase it)

4) Ty Hilton- was all over the place, should have had 2 td's, Donnie Avery who?

5) Jerome Simpson- if nobody has scoped him up now is the time, Christian Ponder looks great so far

TE's

I hate TE's this year

DEF

1) Arizona- get them if you didnt already

who you guys got??

Good Job OP- only one I disagree with is D Thomas (MIA)... not sure why you think he should already be owned and I don't see much value even with Reggie out. My guess... And this is merely a guess is that ® Lamar Miller will take some carries as well... Maybe 60/40 Thomas. In most cases, a reach for RB1/RB2.

Just my $.02... Once again, good post and Good Luck on the WW for Week 4.

So if you were a Stafford owner, who would you recommend?

With no current backup QB, either one of these guys would only be a one week fill in for me, and then I would grab someone else for the Week 5 bye.

Hill going against Minnesota, Palmer going against Denver. I think I would lean towards Hill.

I'm intrigued by Hilton and Hillman though. What are the odds one of them breaks through?

maybe so, hes one the wire in 1 of my 3 leagues, so thats why I said that. Thomas was the main guy after Bush went down, with Miller filling in when needed. I think Miller looks much better, but might not get his chance

andrew hawkins has earned a roster spot think he's had a td in all 3 games so far

Week 1 - 8 for 86

Week 2 - 2 for 56, TD

Week 3 - 2 for 66, TD

Decent numbers, but the lack of catches/targets the last two weeks worries me. Seems like he basically gets a couple deep balls thrown at him each week, and if neither connects you're getting a doughnut, and the best case scenario is 11-12 points.

andrew hawkins has earned a roster spot think he's had a td in all 3 games so far

week 1 he had 9 targets 7 catches no td

week 2 he had 3 targets 2 catches 1 td super long

week 3 he had 4 targets 2 catches 1 td super long

hes the no 3 WR, and yes while he has had 3 good games, you have to look outside the numbers, each game he has had a 50+ yard TD with some missed tackles.

while I think hes possibly rosterable, I dont think hes a good add personally, he could easily end the year with those 2 TD's that he has right now

A reach?

If he is available he is a no brainer add

Again...WTF happened?

Willis McGahee was unable to return to the Broncos' Week 3 loss after sustaining a rib injury during the third quarter. Sep 24 - 8:28 AM Source: Denver Post

Per Rotoworld...not sure of the severity.

Been saving my #1 waiver pick since week 1 ...,and would hate to have to spend it on a Defense since I already have SF ,but Arizona's D is looking beast

If you're picking up a Denver back, I'd go with Ball before Moreno. Moreno didn't even suit up this week.

This is the moment mario fanin would have showed up and went to work.

Slim pickins this week

I'm intrigued by Hilton and Hillman though. What are the odds one of them breaks through?

Austin Collie has been diagnosed with a ruptured right patella tendon, and is done for the season.

It's the worst possible news for one of the league's most snakebitten players, and clouds Collie's status for Week 1 2013. Ruptured patella tendons are typically trickier to come back from than torn ACLs. The upshot is that it gives Collie another year to recover from his fourth concussion in 21 months, but that's probably not much of a silver lining for a player who fought hard to make his 2012 debut on Sunday. Two months shy of his 27th birthday, Collie will be a free agent in the offseason. It's quite possible his Colts career is through. For 2012, it means Donnie Avery is now entrenched as Andrew Luck's No. 2 receiver, and that rookies T.Y. Hilton, Coby Fleener and LaVon Brazill will be bigger parts of the game-plan going forward.

Again...WTF happened?

(FFToday)Willis McGahee (ribs) is "day to day" after he suffered a hit Sunday afternoon that left him unable to finish the Broncos matchup against the Texans. John Fox said the injury involves cartilage, which would mean that the RB's injury would be painful if he decided to play Sunday. If McGahee misses any time, expect the Broncos to fill his place with a combination of Lance Ball, Knowshon Moreno, and Ronnie Hillman.

Grabbed avery in dynasty. He is being targeted a lot by luck. You hear that fellow zealot leaguers? Might want to trade for him now before he becomes a top 15 wr. Need rb help, you know where to find me.

Reports are that Reggie Bush's injury isn't that bad. It's not out of the question that Bush will play this week.

Even if Bush is out, Thomas has a tough, tough match up vs. AZ and Lamar Miller will steal some carries.

There are some good thoughts about Ryan Williams in the thread about him in this forum.
