rallo 132 Posted September 24, 2012 14 teamer team in sig. I was fortunate enough to play the top scoring team in each of the first two weeks. This week i simply just put up a stinker. Sure my team has a few holes, but in a 14 teamer i thought it was pretty solid... at least a playoff contender. With only 6 teams in the playoffs when do you start shaking up your lineup a little? Already traded kevin smith for kenny britt... it might be time to shop brady around for a lower tier QB and a better TE. Maybe i should just stand pat... sheesh.. being 0-3 is messing with my head... 0-3 check-in... who you got?

Serpent 51 Posted September 24, 2012 Eh I have 2. 1 I don't count because it's a free league that got autopicked when the draft room went down. I am just using it as an experiment to see how a team built off waivers and auto pick does, I already cut most of my picks in that league. I would be 3-0 in both leagues anyway if I didn't make a couple of bad lineup decisions, which I consider more likely earlier in the season because I just don't have any data to work with. We're getting to around the point where we can start playing matchups and know who is who in the league, so it's easier going forward. I care about the other one more and I think it will turn around, since a big piece of that team was Jamaal Charles. Now that it looks like he is back I ought to be fine. Busted by the Feds 9 Posted September 24, 2012 My question in situations like these every year is : when will you start based on their ADP and when is it time to start based on their actual performance so far ? Do you keep running out an underperforming high draft pick, or start the 14th rounder who is earning you points on the bench every week ?

TheUsualSuspect 207 Posted September 24, 2012 Currently 1-1... Week 3 pending as I am up 22 versus Lynch tonight... It's refreshing to see a little honesty on this thread as usually everyone I see on here claims to be undefeated in multiple leagues and is "stacked" and has a "solid squad". Just like most other years, the first three weeks have been pretty unpredictable. It's a long season, better luck to those of you off to a slow start. Remember, you don't have to be in 1st... Just make the playoffs. Again, Good Luck!
Serpent 51 Posted September 24, 2012 My question in situations like these every year is : when will you start based on their ADP and when is it time to start based on their actual performance so far ? Do you keep running out an underperforming high draft pick, or start the 14th rounder who is earning you points on the bench every week ? You should always start based on projected performance, which is generally based on past performance. The only issue is that early on in the season you have no real idea how to project performance, because you don't know which teams are good and to a lesser extent which players will hit their potential. It's unlikely that through the first 2-3 weeks you draft people that you don't want to start. So around Week 4 I think is usually where ADP is completely out the window for even mediocre players. For the better FF players ADP doesn't matter at all, even from Week 1, if you can pickup on something that makes you re-think a draft pick.

CTBucky 0 Posted September 24, 2012 12 team, PPR, return yards 1-1 w/ a 58pt hole going into tonight (Need a miracle game from Rodgers & Benson) Rodgers/Fitz Sproles/Bradshaw/Sjax/Benson/Battle Roddy/A.Brown/M.Floyd/Avery/Crabtree Myers/Tamme Weekly Def Bryant As you can see, we have deep benches. Week one I squeaked it out. Week two I had the misfortune of playing against H.Nicks and had Bradshaw (flex) and Sjax both get hurt (well at least Bradshaw) Traded Stevie J & D.Brown for Roddy and Floyd coming into this week before the injuries hit my RBs. Week three is above Oh well. I just hope Sproles gets those catches next week. Sure looked like he was the 1st & 2nd down guy and Thomas was the 3rd down, 2-minute guy yesterday. That would kill as I was banking on the targets.....
