I read a lot of posts about how good of a play Detroit was this week. Detroit is 4th worst DST on the season. Rolling them out in the playoffs was ULTRA risky. Maybe they could keep the score low, but they were never going to do what Seattle did. Seattle is 3rd best DST on the season and they have playmakers at all key positions.

 

My opponent had Houston on the bench and rolled out Detroit. That decision cost him about 18 points. I stuck with Denver even though, admittedly, I considered the Vikings/Rams. At some point you have to say strength trumps matchup, especially in the playoffs. With the playoffs on the line, I didn't want the 4th best DST on my bench.

I started the Lions D/ST too, even though I am a Lions fan, watch them every week, and shoulda known better. Luckily, it didn't cost me my game, but every week the Lions national circus tour gets more and more astounding

Ya'll should lighten up on yourselves. It was a good play. AZ had given up the most points to FF Defenses this season, and were starting Lindley....who has been beyond worthless lately. He barley cleared 100 yards passing today with no TD's, and they couldn't clear 100 yards running the ball between 4 different rushers. Fattford and Logan gave the ball away 4 times....two for TD's.

 

It could have just as easily been the other way around, with Detroit Defense getting a couple scores but, alas, this is fantasy football.....and this is the way it works sometimes, making it one of the most frustrating yet addictive pursuits known to mankind.

Benched the Atlanta Def in place of the San Diego defense that I picked up for the jets game this week thinking the giants would actually show up to this game. In my league Atlanta scored 17 sd 3.. Lost my game by 9. I blame Doug Martin for this. See profile picture above for my reaction.
