The Moz 69 Posted May 23, 2013 What's your angle Moz? Why are some fans getting excited about their young, up and coming team in a topic dedicated to that team getting you so salty? Not salty just having a little fun with what seems like the plethora of Hawks fans here - I actually have no opinion of Seattle either way

uwmalcolm 74 Posted May 23, 2013 What's your angle Moz? Why are some fans getting excited about their young, up and coming team in a topic dedicated to that team getting you so salty? Yeah his strange concern for wanting to know why Hawks fans are excited about the upcoming season is baffling and kind of hilarious. By his logic, since Seattle has apparently never done anything positive in its history, it seems like we fans have even more reason to be excited about this season seeing as the Hawks are considered strong contenders (by everyone except him of course). Â Maybe it's just that time of the month for him?

phillybear 366 Posted May 24, 2013 I am here to help. Â In what week you think SF clinches the NFC west? week 13 or 14? It's too soon to make predictions, but initially my gut feeling is that Seattle and St Louis will decide the division on the final week of the season, the game is in Seattle, so I'll take the home team in that one. SF finishes a game or two worse than both Seattle and St Louis and possibly sneaks in with a wildcard.

Kopy 572 Posted May 24, 2013 I tell you guys what. I really like the direction the rams are going here. The Cardinals, not so much. But I think as soon as next year, if not even this year. We'll start seeing a 3 headed monster in the nfc west. I'm still unsure if Austin is the real deal. But if he turns out to be a Harvin/Cobb good player, and not bust. This is a 3 way race, and teams no one will want to play. Â * On a side note. From a fantasy football perspective. I'd love to see Austin gain about 12 pounds, and keep his speed and shiftyness. phillybear 366 Posted May 24, 2013 Anthony McCoy is done for the year, torn Achillies tendon. So, not only did we not get a polished TE in the draft, now we lost our backup. This does not make me happy. If Zach Miller gets hurt, we got major issues running certain sets, which limits our offense's options in going big at the line. I mean, we have ridiculously increased the ability this year to go multi WR sets in many combos, but for a running team, it's tough to see TEs get hurt. Groundhog 24 Posted May 24, 2013 Supposedly, that 5th rd TE we drafted, Luke Willson, looked good at minicamp. Of course this is in shorts, so it's a little early to declare him an heir apparent, but still. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2013/5/12/4323888/luke-wilson-seahawks-mini-camp  Also, Darren Fells! He's back! http://www.fieldgulls.com/2013-nfl-offseason/2013/5/21/4352568/seahawks-release-josh-portis-te-darren-fells-re-signed  So yeah, we are leading the league in unpolished TEs. I'm willing to wait 6-8 weeks for development time while the rest of our explosive offense takes care of business.

That is a injury that can repeat or just a tough one to recover from as a veteran. I don't know if Miller will be normal going into the season. I think we need to bring in a cheap veteran to start camp with.

Will have to take a look and see who is out there. It might not happen until after camp starts though - all of the TEs drafted this year might supplant a veteran on another team after a week or two of preseason games. Pete Carroll is not afraid to start rookies and I think Willson ( 2 Ls) is going to suprise. Yea it sucks to lose MCCoy but for every good play he made he seemed to make just as many bone headed plays too. Not the end of the world.
FlaHawker 24 Posted May 24, 2013 Ok, this is what is behind Zach Miller right now: Luke Willson, Sean McGrath, Cooper Helfet, Victor Marshall, and Darren Fells. I forgot about Sean McGrath. He looked decent last year. It sucks losing anyone for the year but like I said, I think we find a viable # 2 behind Miller from this group.
