Joey Gladstone 33 Posted February 3, 2013 What really cheated Faulk was Martz stubbornly sticking to a pass heavy offense when The Pat's defense was clearly ready for just that. Faulk should be burning his ex coach for not giving him more carries. Law and Milloy were the real MVP's of that game.

FlaHawker 24 Posted February 4, 2013 But they didnt cheat. Officiating isn't the same as a team flat out cheating. Leavy admitted to blowing 2 penalties one of which was on Hasselback after he threw an INT. Big deal. So Pit benefits from some calls in a game, but they didnt cheat. Seattle benefited by playing a one leg qb vs Washington, both situations a team benefits but is not sole reason of win or loss. Your example is irrelevant to subject of cheating My example was to simply show how blind you are. You talk about the Pats not being legitimate but claim SB XL as legitimate despite the fact that the ref came out said he blew the game. Talk about an illegitimate win. Don't go throwing stones from that glass house!
murf74 461 Posted February 4, 2013 Goodell claims the Patriots cheated in the Super Bowl? You are goodell and there is tapes from superbowl you do A. Show the world and accept consequences B. Destroy the tapes without showing anyone There are some logical conclusions to make. You would like to assume Bill I Cheat only cheated in regular season (which is not logical conclusion) Goodell left this open ended

Don't go throwing stones from that glass house! 2 penalties Hawker. 2 penalties he admitted to blowing and you call that win illegitiment? Actually the fact that the ref admits to blowing only 2 calls actually legitimizes the game You are correlating cheating to a team getting the favor on 2 calls. You talk about the Pats not being legitimate but claim SB XL as legitimate despite the fact that the ref came out said he blew the game. Talk about an illegitimate win. Don't go throwing stones from that glass house! Good grief, will you ever get over this? One blown call, and two more that you as a Seahawks fan don't agree with, and the Super Bowl will be forever the cause for your nitro pills. Let . . . it . . . go. The ref admitted to blowing a call, not giving the game away. That was in the hands of the Seahawks. Ironically, people in this thread are on Marshall Faulk for continuing to wonder about cheating that was "speculative," but has a lot of merit because of the conclusions that Goodell has left to be drawn. This poster is an example of why it's for a person to let these things go. Get off Marshall Faulk's back already.

murf74 461 Posted February 4, 2013 Muff watched it too. He showed his integrity by staying silent. Sincerely sorry about the 2 blown penalties on one drive in superbowl. Nfl will spot you 7 pts for that drive.... You still lost Btw NFL admitted to blowing a call in Indy playoff game that year in favor of Indy. Houston Texans 10 Posted February 5, 2013 I don't see the word "cheated" there, I see the word "mistake". He says he misinterpreted the rule, and even that is debatable as far as the literal wording of the rule - thus the "gray area". He also says he felt like it was not a big deal regardless since they never violated the intent of the rule, which was that any information gathered not be used during the playing of the game during which the information was gathered. That is what he would have considered a genuine violation of the intent of the rules, and he says they never did that. OK, sematics guy. If a guy gets popped for 4 games for PEDs, and admits he made a mistake by taking a banned supplement, didn't he admit to cheating, even though he never used the word cheat? Houston Texans 10 Posted February 5, 2013 You, sir, are a focking idiot. There was absolutely no proof, nor did the NFL conclude, that the Patriots cheated during a Super Bowl win. If you have "proof" of it, please post a link...otherwise shut the fock up and go back to crying over getting your ass handed to you TWICE by the Patriots Whiner. You, sir, are a focking idiot. There is absolutely no proof, nor did the NFL conclude, that Ray Lewis cheated by using any banned substance during any point of his NFL career, much less during the 2012 season. If you have "proof" of it, please post a link...otherwise shut the fock up and go back to crying over getting your ass handed to you in the playoffs EVERY YEAR since the Spygate scandal. Your "logic" works against you here, dumbass. You argued in another thread that a Ravens SB win should get an asterisk because SI suggests that Ray Lewis used a banned substance, yet don't want your precious Patriots to have to deal with the same stigma. If a guy gets popped for 4 games for PEDs, and admits he made a mistake by taking a banned supplement, didn't he admit to cheating, even though he never used the word cheat? Sure he did. I'm not sure what that has to do with Belichick's statements that he misenterpreted the rules, but hey, point you on your totally irrelevant analogy.

Sorry to interject, but Tiki has not admitted that the Patriots cheated. Plain and simple. He keeps throwing around this terminology "violated the rules", etc. and says that they never "C-H-E-A-T-E-D". Now he's saying they didn't "cheat to win a SB". In fact, I tried asking the simple question "did the Patriots cheat" about 6 times to him, and he still hasn't give a Yes or No answer. Yet, the second any news story comes out about Ray Lewis potentially taking a banned substance, Tiki is in uproar claiming that he cheated and they don't deserve the SB. I don't really know what you're talking about. My post had nothing to do with Tiki. I was responding to some guy trying to make Bill Belichick's statements on what transpired analogous to a player admitting to taking PEDs. For the record; I agree completely with Tiki, and it's debatable whether they even violated any rules.

For the record; I agree completely with Tiki, and it's debatable whether they even violated any rules. His argument was that I never admitted that that Patriots cheated...in the Bill Crybaby thread. He obviously didn't read the thread, nor my comments in that thread but interjected himself into a conversation like Internet Tough Guy riding his white steed. The Patriots did not cheat in the Super Bowl. Goodell is on record saying so. All these trolling losers can't get past themselves because their teams blow and all they have is making fun of a team that has won at an 80% clip since Spygate. The funniest thing is saying the Patriots haven't won a big game. Selective memory on the 2011 AFC Championship game...or beating the sh1t out of Houston TWICE. These goons make me laugh. Exactly what was he supposed to say? Or are you going to pretend that he employs no spin or diplomacy in anything he does? This is the heart of weak arguing that drives NFL fans nuts. You are being deliberately naive . . . but only on this point, because it suits your argument.

I'm not sure what that has to do with Belichick's statements that he misenterpreted the rules, but hey, point you on your totally irrelevant analogy. BB cheated, and knew he cheated, but is too stubborn to come flat out and say "I cheated," so he says "I misinterpreted" the rules. PED users cheats, know he cheats, but is too stubborn to come flat out and say "I cheated," so he says "I used a supplement that I didn't know wasn't allowed." Both cheated, both admitted they cheated, but neither actually used the word cheated. Wow, can't believe I had to explain that to you, but hey, at least your mom is letting you use the big-boy computer now.
