Gheys Don't Demand Special Treatment

Recommended Posts

As soon as I can put a poster of a Penthouse Pet spread-eagled in my office without any repercussions, I will put that sticker supporting diversity right next to it.

You don't see it as an issue because you really can't defend it.

Defend what?

The problem with the likes of you and RP is that you automatically assume that anyone broadly identified as "liberal" approves of and will defend any and every event that you perceive as liberal in nature.

Do I defend the notion that gheys shouldn't be discriminated in the workplace? Sure.

Do I defend a ghey workplace organization providing pamphlets to supevisors that basically say "hey, ghey employees might face discrimination at some point and here's what you can do about it"? Sure. Why not?

Do I defend a ghey organization coming by nutjob Bunny's cubicle and saying "Bunny you better put up this ghey rights sticker or we'll have you fired"? No, I definitely don't support that. But I also don't think that's what is actually happening except in your crazy, paranoid imagination.

That should settle the matter.

It took three pages and it looks like we now agree that this practice shouldn't be happening.

I haven't been able to find any evidence that the story isn't true.

Crazy yes. Paranoid. Not even a little. It is fun watching a post go three pages though.

"This practice" as you characterize it. But I think you're reading way into things that aren't there and are just generally insane.

They do? You fell in love and got married. Can they do that?

I'll play. I'm all for whatever will make them happy. If they want to walk the line, by all means I support you.

Do you think after that issue is resolved, that some will stop there? What if they demand to be married in a Catholic church and the church denies them? Will that be considered discrimination? I don't have a problem with churches denying them. It stands against their morals. And for the record, I am not a religious man.

You OK with extremists wanting to force feed "My Two Mommies" to six year olds that have zero idea about what sexual orientation is?

Or Disney having ghey week and not telling rednecks that spend their money on Mickey and Minney with their kids that the week they are going coincides with ghey week?

Or how about telling ghey jokes? It's not ok now to tell a joke about how to fit four ghey guys on one bar stool? Or whatever dumbass joke that makes fun of gheys? We can't flip a joke or barstool?

There is no threat. It's a pamphlet for managers suggesting ways to be more tolerant of LGBT, not a directive.

And look where we are twelve years later. It’s the very definition of incremental policy. Start slowly going up the hill and then speed up to the finish line.

Threads like this are funny to look back on.

Classic in multiple ways.

So 12 years later and turns out bunny was wrong.  There is no rule to confirm homosexuality.

Why would bro bump a 12 year old thread to show how wrong he was?

And then complain that there are too many political threads in the forum?
