robzm19 6 Posted November 9, 2013 http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3146/brandon-jacobs If your on the fence this should help a bit. Brown should get more carries than expected.
R8RMick 242 Posted November 9, 2013 that's rather silly to say unless you are stacked at RB, he has been chomping at the bit and playing a very weak D... he is pretty much good for 75 yrds and a score. This.
IGotWorms 4,057 Posted November 9, 2013 So who should I roll with in PPR flex: Andre Brown vs Oakland Marvin Jones @ Baltimore Roddy White vs Seattle Marvin Jones has been killin' it in my league lately but I don't know if I have the balls to roll with him. On the other hand the other two are coming off injury with their snap counts unknown...

I agree his statement is silly to not even consider brown this week but your statement is equally silly. Oakland is ranked 6th against the run. Brown is coming into a tough game and we don't know what his touches will be. Every ranking I see for him is around 30/RB3 range. That sounds about right for him. So if you only start 2 it would be tough to go with him. But I would definitely throw him out as a flex.

skinsrule05 30 Posted November 9, 2013 As a Raider fan I can assure you they are not the sixth best team in the NFL against the run. I know defensive metrics are numerous. This is what I was going by: Rushing yards given up per game- 94.6 (6th in NFL) I am open to other thoughts. If you don't think yards given up is a good measure what do you use? idiotec 31 Posted November 9, 2013 http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/3146/brandon-jacobs If your on the fence this should help a bit. Brown should get more carries than expected. Hahaha. Sorry. But I didn't consider Jacobs a threat either way. I'm not saying brown is a bad start. I kind of want to get him in. But I have to thing a lot of people are in my shoes. 3rd to 4th option. Thornton Melon 616 Posted November 9, 2013 that's rather silly to say unless you are stacked at RB, he has been chomping at the bit and playing a very weak D... he is pretty much good for 75 yrds and a score. Well, I've got ADP and Chris Johnson. Oakland's D isn't really that weak against RBs...middle of the pack. And nothing I say is silly....unless I want it to be. If you don't think yards given up is a good measure what do you use? Football Outsiders has Oakland ranked 13th DVOA against the run. I think that's a better metric but really it still says that Oakland has a decent run D. It's not a bad matchup but not good either. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamdef

snatchit 108 Posted November 10, 2013 As a Raider fan I can assure you they are not the sixth best team in the NFL against the run. haven't checked but I think Jacobs id out.... even if Brown gets 12 to 15 touches that should be enough.
p.man 7 Posted November 10, 2013 that's rather silly to say unless you are stacked at RB, he has been chomping at the bit and playing a very weak D... he is pretty much good for 75 yrds and a score. I agree with you...I want to start Brown too, but in addition to Brown I have Stacey, Moreno and M.James at rb with Charles on a bye. I also have the same mind frame of waiting to see how Brown does / is used in his first game out. With my rb's, would you start Brown over 1 of them? FFToday has all 3 ranked higher than Brown this week too.
TennisMenace 156 Posted November 10, 2013 Go with Brown and you won't regret it.

R8RMick 242 Posted November 10, 2013 Running with authority so far, not injured after two carries... Hillis just fumbled in their own red zone, Coughlin sporting the red-ass early so he's probably done. Giants D-Line stepping up as of old.
Eddie Kennison 12 Posted November 10, 2013 that's rather silly to say unless you are stacked at RB, he has been chomping at the bit and playing a very weak D... he is pretty much good for 75 yrds and a score. What 's so silly about him waiting a week? If he has other options, makes sense to let Brown show us something. I wouldn't guarantee anything. Don't know how much he'll be used and to what extent. I'm starting Forte and Stacy. Will wait for week 11 to unleash Brown. Im not desperate at this point of the season.
p.man 7 Posted November 10, 2013 Brown looks good. 7 yards then 7 yard then 5 yards then 4 yards. Brown goes for a first down too. He looks good right now..

p.man 7 Posted November 10, 2013 Brown with 55 yards rushing so far and he was the key to that Giants Td to Randle. See that run he had to the 5 yrd line? He is fun to watch.
R8RMick 242 Posted November 10, 2013 As bad as they are, Giants are a much different team when they have that power running game going.
p.man 7 Posted November 10, 2013 As bad as they are, Giants are a much different team when they have that power running game going. Yes. That is true. The Raiders td was mostly due to the opening Kick off being fumbled by the Giants. Their def is playing pretty good.

p.man 7 Posted November 10, 2013 Andre Brown is in beast mode. He ran hard in the first half and he picked up chunks of yardage on most of those rushes.

p.man 7 Posted November 10, 2013 T.Thomas with the 67 yard Int return to the Raiders 5 yard line and Brown scores 3 plays later!! The first play was to the 1.5 yard line on a Brown run. Then Manning tried to get it to Ncks and there was a penalty on the Raiders which put the ball at the 1 and Brown took it in from there.

R8RMick 242 Posted November 10, 2013 Career high carries......didn't expect that. Red-ass Coughlin has been wandering the desert, looking for a glass of water at RB all season. Sometimes desperation brings extreme measures.
