tanatastic 2,062 Posted January 11, 2014 Oh yea te rams really made out like bandits, how did their playoff runs go last year and this year? How bout their near certain bottom dwelling status next year? Skins made the playoffs the first year with rg3, that's a win right there. Not to mention an advertising bonanza for him. Ok he got hurt and this year they stunk it up. They could easily bounce back next year, rg3 is talented despite naysayers. Rams have Bradford who they want to think is good but stinks. So to recap, in 1 year the skins won the division and got an insanely marketable player to skyrocket income for them. That alone prevents it from being a fleece. MedStudent 56 Posted January 13, 2014 If you think Zac Stacy is a legit NFL RB1 I would like to hear your reasoning. Their backups are dreadful. Isaiah Pead, Benny Cunningham and Daryl Richardson. Really? RB is an absolute need. There are no RB's that are 1st round worthy but grabbing Ka'Deem Carey in round 2 would be solid. Grabbing running backs high is a mistake IMO. You can find good ones later. Better off trading down and getting a couple of studs on the offensive line. I'm not sold on Bradford either. He may not have the mental makeup to be a top qb. RB is an absolute need. There are no RB's that are 1st round worthy but grabbing Ka'Deem Carey in round 2 would be solid. 1100+ yds from scrimmage starting 12 games. 3.9 YPC certainly not flashy, but a guy who can play all 3 downs (26 receptions ) and totaled 8 TD. All this while playing behind an O-line that faced some key inujuries and with a backup QB that smart teams dared to try and beat them while stacking vs the run. And he played and produced hurt, which says a lot about him. No, he's not Peterson or Lynch, but he's a lot closer to a #1 at his position than anyone else I can think of at the Rams skill positions. The NFL isn't overly concerned with big name star RB; look how many are still alive in the playoffs. They need too much help in other areas to worry about a RB imo. You can find ample bodies to bring into camp to fill a backup role.

If you think Kellen Clemens is an NFL caliber QB I'd like to hear your reasoning. Because of Clemens, teams flooded the box against Stacy. The kid stepped up and singlehandedly kept the Rams in the playoff race with his hard running. Playing against the toughest defense in the NFL he went for 1100 all purpose yards and eight TDs. I think he deserves a chance playing with the varsity offense. Carey is definitely a college talent, but does that spill over to the pros? He's average size, with average speed, what is he going to bring to the table the team can't get from Stacy? Go ahead and google their identical 40 times if you'd like. IF they go skill position at #1 they'll go WR, for all the sense that makes having taken four in the last two drafts lol... I'd like to see them go offensive line back to back with those picks, and build on that running attack.

jaxjag 43 Posted January 14, 2014 Sadly, the biggest fleece will almost certainly stay with Dallas at the expensive of Minnesota. But the RG3 trade is shaping up to be near the top. True that... adding a link so people can grasp the magnitude of that deal "Dallas ended up with a total of six of Minnesota's picks over the succeeding years, two 1st round and one 2nd round picks were used to draft Emmitt Smith and Darren Woodson, winning multiple Super Bowls and being voted on to go to the Pro Bowl numerous times also. Jimmy Johnson used the other draft picks to make trades with other teams around the NFL. One of the trades led to obtaining the first overall draft pick in 1991, which was used to draft Russell Maryland. In other words, the trade of Walker to the Vikings contributed largely to the Cowboys' success in the early 1990s." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herschel_Walker_trade
