WhiteWonder 2,734 Posted June 8, 2014 i also don't follow all the blackjack "rules"... one example is they say you're always supposed to split Aces and 8's. Aces you have no choice but I refuse to always split 8's. If the dealer is showing a 5, 6 or 7... sure i'll split but I just can't make myself split 8's when the dealer is showing a 10. i was taught to always assume the next card is a 10, so when I see the dealer has a 10 showing, I assume they have 20. So why the hell would I want to split 8's? I'm turning 1 losing hand into 2 losing hands. The only way i'm really winning the hand is if i split and then draw a 3 for 11 and then hit again for 21. that seems like an awful lot of work and small odds for me to try it. but the books say you always split 8's. Im sure there is logic behind it, i just can't play that way
Frozenbeernuts 2,264 Posted June 8, 2014 Majestic is a hole in the wall rats nest that smells like hot garbage - why in the hell would you go there over Horseshoe which is 100X nicer. I think I was in there a long time agp for like 10 minutes before we left. Horseshoe has the Best Poker room in the midwest - if you like Poker you should try and play there. I wish Rivers had Poker - sucks ass as Rivers is the Nicest Casino around (the midwest) al be it smallish -- I love being minutes from Rosemont - it's literally like a Mini version of downtown Chicago - has all the resturants , clubs, and such and none of the hassle. Well I didn't know anything about Indiana casinos at the time. All I knew is that they had open tables and Joliet casinos didn't. Horseshoe is really nice now that I have been there. The Moz 69 Posted June 8, 2014 Well I didn't know anything about Indiana casinos at the time. All I knew is that they had open tables and Joliet casinos didn't. Horseshoe is really nice now that I have been there.Majestic is in Gary, IN how much do you need to know to know it's going to be a shithole? What sucks is a year ago I was at Horseshoe 1 night - I had just dropped the kids back off at the ex's and was on my way home on the Toll rd and decided to stop in the Shoe to have a drink and watch a Game -- at the casino is the only place you can smoke a cigar inside. I am sitting at the bar and I hit a Royal flush on the dollar machine for like 4 grand. So I say fock it it's saturday night I got no where to be so I set out for a drunken all night Poker binge on the 2-5 table. Issue is I drank a little much (I was told 10 shots of Makers and 6-8 beer - in like 3 hours -- all the while supposedly being obnoxious) and woke up in the Hammond drunk tank cost me a focking grand to get out of it and apparently I lost a grand at Poker but hey still ended up bringing home around 2K . PI in Indiana is no joke I guess - It was like 1000 to post bond and ended up having me have to firfeit the whole bond to get a year probation and not go on my record. In Illinois there is no bond for that just call a friend and the fine is like 100 - 300 to have it off your record. Focking Indiana...
Frozenbeernuts 2,264 Posted June 8, 2014 Indiana doesnt sell liquor in stores either. I really dislike the state. Are we still drafting btw? Maybe i missed the memo that its only 9.25 rounds. Edit: Indiana doesn't sell liquor in stores on Sunday either. The Sunday part was kind of important.

Frozenbeernuts 2,264 Posted June 9, 2014 Man I was really torn there. Some may think it's a waste taking him. I think the risk for Foster being affected by his back surgery is bigger than people think. He has declared himself 100% but we hear players declare themselves more ready than they actually are all the time. Here's to hoping I picked the right backup to draft, because last year my backup running back gambles were terrible. Basically if you see me draft a backup running back you can confidently scratch that player off your list for all other leagues and know he will not see significant play time all year. jocstrap 8 Posted June 9, 2014 How about them apples? A little shake up in the Jocstrap philosophy. #1 defense off the board in the 12th round. I wonder what the ADP is for the #1 defense in a 12 team redraft?

I wonder what the ADP is for the #1 defense in a 12 team redraft? You motherfuckker!!! Seattle was coming off the board with my pick and I knew it since my last pick that I was taking them. They are a weapon and I really have no other D even close, so fucck you, assbag!
jocstrap 8 Posted June 9, 2014 BigBlue - Obviously I'm thin at WR with only 3 drafted so far. I also took a TE in Olsen where I probably would've taken another WR. Non the less - I was truly happy with all my positions. Is Seattle greater than my #4 wr? I'm hoping I can find some sleeper wr's in the later rounds now. WR is always deep and you can find some talent but there is no D close to Seattle. I've never in my life taken the first D off the board, but I was all set to pull the trigger. dehaven123 31 Posted June 10, 2014 hunter is breaking out this yr. might have been able to wait another rd, but didn't want to take the chance. his drop rate is a little high, but i think he'll improve there. guy has crazy athleticism, skills after the catch, too. Frozenbeernuts 2,264 Posted June 10, 2014 I just never trust the passing game of the titans. I will be golfing today so i may not be able to pick right away. Starting a new job soon so i need to get some golf in before i disappear into some shlt hole of an oil refinery for 12 hours a night.

If it was reasonable you would have drafted him earlier.
The Moz 69 Posted June 10, 2014 WTF -- this draft usually takes about 2 weeks to finish we are in round 11 of 17 and have been drafting for a week and a half. Are we behind pace - maybe we are A LITTLE BIT . It's the 10th of June it isn't like we have been drafting for a month already it's been a focking week and 1/2. Drobs , Kutulu, Frozen, Bunny you're fine now that you know what to expect it will be better next year ... Delay that Bitches the most was the a worse offender here than any of you (okay maybe not "worse" than Drobs) for his first 2 years. The draft is going just fine and basically on pace for the average... Relax fellas
dehaven123 31 Posted June 10, 2014 80x16 would be a 1300 yard season. If it was reasonable you would have drafted him earlier. i was simply proposing what his best wks are going to look like. who in the league scores every wk @ WR. jeesh. besides, his perceived FF value dictated where i drafted him, not any expectations i may have. i dont reach, i take what u let guys let fall. WhiteWonder 2,734 Posted June 10, 2014 The possible emergence of hunter gave me slight pause when I drafted wright. But then I thought about how decidedly average the qb is and decided wright is the better possession/screen/short pass guy. I wasn't high on hunter coming out and not sure I trust the qb enough to help him make the leap

Relax fellas ur perception aint reality, not even close. it's a cute nickname and all, but i did the math the first 2yrs, sloracer took more time on the clock than anyone. 2 other owners, who i wont name, were 1st/2nd in time the next yr. i added up everybody's draft time, but why would i expect u to remember that when u can just use ur made up delay history as a crutch comparison to justify ur slow azz picking league owner add? also, i dont give a shiat if this thing takes til august!
