snatchit 108 Posted March 2, 2015 Ingram would probably be my 1st choice. Helu could be had cheap. I know there is a lot of CJ1 haters out there and rightfully so......but I think as a role player he could be decent on the super cheap behind that oline and having 7 in the box. They don't need AP... it would be nice but they just dont

weepaws 3,194 Posted March 2, 2015 Sounds like Peterson me Jones are holding hands and walking under the stars together , so looks like he will be the guy . But I would look at the draft and let someone else have Peterson and his evil ways of child care .

Cruzer 1,995 Posted March 3, 2015 Drafting a rb is fine. To draft one in the top 2 rounds is not..... Romo is about to be 35 - his window is closing fast. We don't have time, or the luxury, to trust a rookie rb with Romo's protective life... It almost makes sense to go ahead and pay Murray his $9m or so and try and win now while we still have Romo. sirensong 111 Posted March 3, 2015 ingram if he can be gotten for $4M. if not, then murray if he can be gotten for $6.5M. if neither, draft--abdullah is my pet cat. the protection aspect is important though.

sirensong 111 Posted March 3, 2015 Abdullah will probably have to be part of a timeshare. Little to small to carry the full load. yup, but that fits with s. jones' comments a couple of weeks ago. he pointed out that the last time DAL had a substantial investment in the OL (2009), they put up 2100+ rushing yards without an elite rusher. that number would have put them at 6th in the league this season, instead of 2nd. and that line was nowhere near as talented as the current one. so RBBC is definitely on the table already. my concern with abdullah's size is more about protection--he's giving up a LOT of weight to blitzers. R8RMick 242 Posted March 5, 2015 Not sure who Dallas ends up with, I doubt they get Ingram for under $4 million if even that. But now that Philly needs a north-south RB who can block and catch, I'm wondering how many yards DeMarco Murray can rush for behind a very good Eagles offensive line... Gepetto 1,368 Posted March 5, 2015 Don't get cute, like when Parcells drafted Julius Jones. Or Jerry drafting Felix Jones. Get D Murray or AP. Ingram is good too.

He can run north & south, block and is a very good pass catcher.... Sean Payton was in town the other day and said the Saints have a great relationship with Joel Segal (his agent) and hope to bring him back. We will see - exciting buzz in the air for sure. Cruzer 1,995 Posted March 5, 2015 i can't see philly paying more than 4-6m for a feature rb Of course - they have $49m of cap space to spend. Even if you do it at $8m it's a savings over what they would of paid Shady.
Flyfreak 84 Posted March 5, 2015 well, they have sproles and polk so i can see them shooting for someone like ingram who would fit kelly's scheme and be way cheaper

If a Cowboy fan, I couldn't imagine a worse scenario. Running behind Philly's offensive line, Murray might gain 500 yards in two games against the Dallas defense in 2015. I'm not kidding. sirensong 111 Posted March 6, 2015 yeah--teams are going to attack DAL's run defense like crazy next season. basically, they're going to use the DAL offensive scheme against the cowboys. 2 yards on 1st down, 2 yards on 2nd down, and open up the whole playbook on 3rd and 6. murray in PHI would be just awful. Running behind Philly's offensive line, Murray might gain 500 yards in two games against the Dallas defense in 2015. I'm not kidding. Murray would be a great fit for sure in Philly.... But don't get carried away with grand illusions. It's debatable whether or not Murray is better than McCoy - certainly not 2, 3, or 10 times better. The problem beating Philly will remain the same: full scale blitzes, fast tempo offense.
petekrum 20 Posted March 6, 2015 Kelly didn't move McCoy and his salary just to bring in a more injury prone RB of the same age who wants a bunch of money. The Eagles will probably draft a RB and/or bring in a discounted free agent to team with Sproles and Polk. The money freed up in the McCoy deal is earmarked for other positions than RB. typhus 13 Posted March 6, 2015 If some team like the Raiders or Colts are willing to pony up $9M per for Murray then he is gone, but I don't think that is going to happen. Someone will offer him $7M per and Dallas will counter with $6+M and see if he is willing to take it. With a winning team, a great O-Line, QB, TE, & WR and no state income taxes, it would be well worth it for him to take the Cowboys' offer and stay put. For a few hundred grand (net), going to a team with a crappy O-Line doesn't make sense.
Dueces Will Be Wild 15 Posted March 6, 2015 I don't see how it would work cap-wise and I'm not a cowboys fan but I would really like to see AP running behind Dallas' O-line. Just as a football fan, I'd like to see what would happen. If he stayed healthy, he could break the single season record.
petekrum 20 Posted March 6, 2015 Be careful hoping Murray returns. History shows he's gonna crash this season.
