NFL biotchslaps Belicheat. Pat's fans predictably butthurt.

.. It all comes down to jealousy...

You should all be pissed that your home team coaches don't work as hard.

nailed it

if belicheck had come up with the wildcat, you can bet it would be called a cheap stunt and outlawed...

The wildcat has been around football longer than the facemask.

Not sure that is an answer exactly. If actively cheating to not accrue points is clearly wrong, then actively cheating to accrue them should also be wrong, or do you not feel that way?

its not cheating if it is within the rulebook. So the premise here is misguided.

Now by 'intentionally trying to lose' is a loose term... Are we talking about telling players to give up turnovers, miss free throws, throw interceptions... Or are we inserting young players and not playing the short term optimum lineup? id say the former is intentionally losing and the later is its corollary 'not trying your best to win'

Jimmy Johnson did not think the substitution play was a big deal. He said he was running it since he coached high school.

That's where that jive belongs. High school.

OK, so we have name calling as a response; one your clients will be so very fortunate to have your rubber/glue approach to debate.

Name calling? I pointed out your analogies are beyond absurd.

Must make it sting all the more for Ravens fans and other Patriot haters. Fooled by a high school tactic

watching RP attempt to deny NE/BB/Brady's greatness is like watching a fat chick deny her eating problem, "I'm just big boned"!!!

Link to me denying anything? I'm simply pointing out your franchise has a reputation for being cheaters.........a well deserved reputation, I might add.

It's no reputation, it's a fact. They are convicted, admitted cheaters. The fanboys don't like it, but it's the truth.

The irony is RP is a Cowboys fan.

A team that has also been caught cheating (salary cap)...

He constantly rails against teams that have been far more successful in the past 20 years.

Comparing this rulebook thing to the Enron collapse or Armstrong's doping?

You really are a clown.

I question the veracity of your claim. Yes, you did use name calling, curious tactic for a self-proclaimed member of the legal profession. And then your retort lacks any sense of fact-based or even coherent debate, the entire rubber/glue thing coupled with attacking the person, what law school did you attend exactly?

The jealous comment is one of the dumbest ever.

Nope, it's pretty much spot on. It's all sour grapes

Believe it or not, I'm actually not practicing law when posting on this forearm. Hard to imagine, I know.

At any rate, your analogies were completely ridiculous and you seem to have realized this since you're now shifting the debate to a completely irrelevant discussion of my occupation

My criticism of the Patriots has always been about what they have done.

I have zero to be jealous of them at this point.

So...no, not spot on...and there are plenty of people in here who are fans of teams who have been having quite a bit of success lately (you know, in the time in between those other titles...and some just before that too).

Yeah...being a Packers fan...one of the most stories franchises of all time that can boast the most titles of any team and 4 Super Bow titles (including 2 in the last 20 years).

A publicly owned team...solid coach currently...and going on 24 years of pretty damn good QB play.

Not a jealous bone in my body over the Patriots.

Packers are an incredible franchise, I agree. And I root for them as long as they aren't playing my Pats or the Seahawks.

That said, it's pretty apparent that you're worried the Patriots might steal the Packers' limelight a bit as the greatest franchise ever. Certainly not from an historical perspective, but in the modern era you are losing ground most every year and you know it.

That incident was, for lack of a better word - retarded. Much like the Patriots substitution issue at hand - Dallas did nothing illegal. In fact, the NFL league office approved the contracts - how focked up is that?

What happened was the rest of the league owners felt like they got cheated - so much like the Patriots case, they complained. In turn, the same governing body that approved the contracts also fined them for violating the spirit of the CBA. Yet another example of Goodell not having a focking clue as to what he's doing.

Exactly.

What the Cowboys and Redskins did was refuse to abide by a secret agreement to collude with all teams against the players in an uncapped year.

No rules were broken.

I see this all the time Worms... some of the most ardent Patriot detractors are former greats that now fear their legacies are being encroached upon by NE... Don Shula, Jerry Rice... New England has made a bunch of once-respectable football legends go full on Mercury Morris. It's kinda' sad that guys like Shula and Rice are that insecure even with all they achieved.

And no Sho... I don't think this applies to you. I really do believe you're very happy with your Packers in their current state and their historic past.

The real tragedy is that we got fined and put in the corner over Miles focking Austin - oh Gawd!! :wall:

I did not realize you were not practicing law, based on your skills at debate I think that is a good thing.

My analogies where people took actions to cheat were directly in line and I find it rather interesting that the paralells do not resonate for you, yet another indicator that you prefer to ignore that which clearly refutes your premise. Further, you assign the role of shifting to me, and in doing so you assert that "I" am doing that very thing that you sought to do through your own post; with the accompanying attack on the person themselves.

You seem to be rather coherent in general, but perhaps a bit immature though, I think the validity of your position gets lost when you allow that lack of maturity to enter in. JMHO

Immature That's it. I've been trying to define worms, and I can't believe I hadn't come to that conclusion. He definetly has a tough time controlling himself. Immature.

Well..by some people's logic here...rules had to be broken because you all were punished.

So...guess people can call you all cheaters too.
