Is this really a remake? I went in wanting to hate it, but I do like the way they have Rusty now grown up and making a movie about his family. Very happy they did that instead of trying to re-create a new Clark Griswold.

Kind of silly that they call it a remake rather than a sequel, wich this is. Its not recasting clark, its telling Rustys story. Chevy is in it and plays Clark, its a clear sequel.

Yeah. Grease 2, Speed 2, Return to the Blue Lagoon, Jaws the Revenge, and Caddyshack 2 were all stellar as well.
