Captain Goomy Noomy Roo 53 Posted November 25, 2015 What do we know about this kid? 6' 4" 230 lbs. TE from University of Michigan. Basketball player... turned TE... turned Carolina Panthers WR NFL rookie bringing size/jumps giving Cam Newton a big target. I think this guy only gets better as we move toward fantasy playoffs. What are your thoughts on Devin Funchess?
Kent 228 Posted November 25, 2015 Dumped Jordan Matthews for him. Starting him this week, maybe.

Captain Goomy Noomy Roo 53 Posted November 25, 2015 1. He's not a kid. Let's please stop calling these men 'kids'. He's a kid. Size and money doesn't make you a man. Sorry 21 is a kid in my book. Experience, responsibility, knowledge, moves a 21 year old kid toward being a man. A perfect example... Johnny Manziel... this kid has a long way to go before he is a man. thewrathofkuhn 40 Posted November 26, 2015 GFYS grampa I'm 34. A 6 year old is a kid. A 17 year old is a kid. A 22 year old professional sports player is not a kid, he's a man. Calling a 22 year old working in an office or factory a kid is just as dumb and insulting. These men hold down jobs and put in long days – probably longer then most of us here. Kids play with Legos, do keg stands and egg houses. In my opinion, using an expression such as 'I like the way this kid looks' to describe a 20 something professional is just lazy. StrikeForce 11 Posted November 27, 2015 What to do with Funchess? He actually had a target in the EZ, but Dallas interfered. I just don't know if he'll be effective in this offense (if he's any good anyway). Olsen and Cothery seem to get more targets. I can probably find other players that I'd rather have. Too bad I have to wait till next Wednesday.

Are you that guy who would get his panties in a wad when someone called you 'kid' when you first started your career? Im 32 and the older guys i work with will call me kid once in a while. Who the fock cares?
redsrback 30 Posted November 27, 2015 People in there 30s do things at work like- pull out there cell phones while on the job, do more talking then working, buy a 35k truck and ask if they can borrow money for a bag of chips, bum cigarettes and say there quitting every day, have affairs, leave work early to go party, I am only 48 but at least I know why older people see younger as kids. Maybe when you get in your 40s and have a bit of respect for your your elders you will learn from them and shut your mouth.

IGotWorms 4,063 Posted November 27, 2015 He's called a "kid" to denote his status as someone who has not been in the league very long. It's a recognition that when we talk about a young player we don't really know what he's going to be yet, all we can do is guess at how he's going to turn out. Much like kids.
