stonewall 647 Posted November 30, 2015 The Patriots do not think Gronkowski (knee) suffered a serious injury, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports. Spin: Although he was clearly in a lot of pain after taking a direct shot to the knee, Gronkowski may have escaped with just a bad bruise or a sprain, as his knee wasn't planted when Denver's Darian Stewart hit it. He left the field in a cart and initially didn't put much weight on his right foot, but he didn't have much of a limp by the time he left the stadium, according to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald. If Gronkowski still ends up missing time, Scott Chandler would likely see a large uptick in targets, with Asante Cleveland and/or Michael Williams also taking on increased roles. BobSanders_33 127 Posted November 30, 2015 Who was the kid that was supposed to be the stud TE for New England the last time Gronk missed time? He pretty much did nothing. Scott Chandler might get targets from a great QB and he might be a top ten TE but more bottom end. It doesn't take much to get to that spot. Delanie Walker level? Was released a month into the season.
IGotWorms 3,323 Posted November 30, 2015 Scott Chandler is slow as molasses. He will not be turning into any kind of beast should Gronk miss time. In fact it might only hurt him to not have Gronk around to take the defense's attention away

BobSanders_33 127 Posted November 30, 2015 If Amendola can come back and stay healthy , watch out . I don't know about watch out. Subtracting Gronk does not help Amendola. He was already going to get a monster amount of targets. Now he is going to get those targets in an offense that has even less play makers. If the game plan is to take away Amendola it is probably not that difficult.
IGotWorms 3,323 Posted November 30, 2015 If somebody ends up becoming a star out of all this it will be Keshawn Martin. Don't think it's going to happen but he's the guy to have as a "somebody has to make plays" lotto ticket.
