I keep buying XRP when it drops into the .20 range.  I have less than $50 invested so it's low risk for me.  I also threw some money at The Graph.  Wish I put more money into Ethereum.

Coinbase sucks. I've been saying that for a long time. So good luck with them.

Binance has a different exchange for US customers Binance.us (blame our government not biance)

Just wait until you do have a problem or glitch. Also try and sell during a huge bull run. Their system always seem to go down... Weird

You should be able to move your crypto. You probably need to make a Binance.us account. Or send the coins to a different exchange. - "After 90 days, effective on 2019/09/12, users who are not in accordance with Binance’s Terms of Use will continue to have access to their wallets and funds, but will no longer be able to trade or deposit on Binance.com.”

https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/binance-blocking-users-from-the-united-states/

Major crypto exchange, Binance is blocking the United States-based clients from accessing its primary platform and requesting them to withdraw all funds within the next 90 days.

https://www.millenniumusa.net/switching-from-binance-to-binance-us/

1. Login to www.binance.com account

2. Navigate to wallets

3. Select Withdraw
4. For each coin you have on binance.com, copy your corresponding binance.us’ wallet deposit address. For example for BTC, go to https://www.binance.us/en/usercenter/wallet/deposit/BTC
5. And paste the address on binance.com for the BTC withdrawal:
6. Complete withdrawal

7. Repeat for each coin you have on binance.com

You're welcome. When you move your coins be sure you send them to the correct address (BTC - BTC) (ETH-ETH) etc.. I always look at the first four and last 4 digits to verify.

This is probably a mistake, but I'm going to sell all my XRP tomorrow. I never liked the coin and only bought it because I thought it might be the corporate coin.

I'm going to buy more ADA with whatever I get.

I'm also buying more THETA tomorrow.

Looks like Coinbase is going to suspend trading of XRP on January 14th.

Typically when something like this happens I would buy more, but I never believed in the XRP project so I'm bouncing.

Holy sh!t @Strike is hella famous in the Bitcoin world now. :shocking:

It would be weird being paid  in Bitcoin wouldn't it?   I mean, today you have enough bitcoin to buy a brand new SUV, tomorrow you have the same amount of bitcoin, but only enough value to buy a rusted out Geo Metro.

I don't get how folks would want to live like that.

Can someone explain?

It's not as volatile as what you think it is. Pick any day of the year and you can find stocks that go up just as much or more than bitcoin. How much did tesla drop because musk was on Joe Rogan smoking weed?

Also, he's not getting paid in bitcoin. The team is sending half of his paycheck to an outside company that converts it to bitcoin. It's stupid he could just do it himself and save whatever third party fee they are charging him.

I'm buying CEL token next.

I really believe in this company. They are registered with the SEC and one of the only Cryptos to do so.

Now you're comparing it to stocks. Is it like stock or or is it the next "money"?

If we are comparing it to stocks, I'll pick stocks because I can look up a stocks sales of product, service, management, employees, infrastructure,  sales contracts, etc.   Is there a way to do that with cryptos?

If we are looking at it as the next "money" or replacing the dollar, then my original question holds true.

So is it like a stock or money?

IT depends on which crypto you're talking about. I'm not sure why you're being a d1ck. I'm not telling you or forcing you to do anything. Buy stocks for all I care.

ETA some crypto acts as a currency, some act as property, some act as a security etc... and different nations disagree on how to classify them.

And yes you can often find the info you're looking for in their white paper or other published materials. Good cryptos have that info. Bad ones don't

My comparison was to the subject of volatility. Stock BNSO went up 70.89% today alone ACY went up 56%

Tesla is up 737% on the 52 weeks.

So when people talk about how volatile crypto is they aren't wrong. But it's not the one day pump they say it is.

Me explaining points as WHY I don't understand cryptos----which is 100% EXACTLY what I'm doing---is being a d!ck?

That wasn't my intention.   Its my way of trying to get answers or explanations.  Those are the valid points (at least in my head) as to why I've always had hesitation with having anything to with cryptos.

Reading your post sounded very p1ssy to me. I'm happy to help explain crypto to you. Because it helps me understand it better too. Your post just rubbed me the wrong way.

I was able to see some friends that I hadn't seen in months.  I told them how I started putting a little money into crypto and I found out they have been doing it for a little while as well.  It was great to finally have a real conversation with people I know who have an understanding of what it is.  The one friend had lost his job this year but was able to make plenty of money off of what he's had invested in BTC.

There is a shortage of BTC and it's only going to get worse. When more big players move into the market and can't get the BTC they want they will buy the next biggest Crypto and that's ETH.

Ethereum - ETH, is my favorite. I own a lot and am currently mining it. I planned on staking for eth 2.0 and or hosting a node as well but holding off right now. The thing about ETH is it's so much more than a store of value. It also is the mother coin of a bunch of other ALT coins built on the eth protocol.

Bitcoin is my second-largest holding. No need to talk about this.

VeChain - VET, is a very interesting coin and unique in the problem it's trying to solve. I'm hopeful they continue to expand, grow and bring in more partners. The problem with this coin is there's like 88 billion of them. With that many coins it'll never moon the way I want it. If VET ever gets to a $1 I could retire.

Polkadot - DOT, is a lot like ethereum. It was started by one of the etherium co-founders. If ETH 2.0 doesn't work I can see people moving to dot. And even if ETH works there will be room for DOT. Now would be a good time to get into DOT. I expect DOT to be $20-$50 next year.

THETA - is super interesting. They are a video hosting network. I don't own any right now but plan on buying and hosting a node in the next month or two. It's also not available on major exchanges in the US yet. If you can get into a coin before then you can triple your earnings pretty

You made money if you bought any of these.
