Raiders now TRULY entering a rebuilding era?

Recommended Posts

I know, Carr and Cooper and a great O-Line and an improving hungry defense.

But they've asked Sebastian Ruffikowski to restructure his contract, and he's declined. Could the Raiders be getting rid of the last piece of human garbage on the team and turning themselves into real human beings?

I don't like guys who visit bars with pockets full of ruffies.

Gotta be smarter. Don't accept drinks from someone you don't know man.

Are you under the impression that I don't like rapists simply because I don't personally want to be raped?

So what are you saying? That you are rolling with Big Ben, Zeke, and Mixon?

I don't think Mixon or Zeke have ever been accused of being rapists, have they? Big Ben had that whole bathroom incident, but I'm not sure what that was all about in the end.

SeabASS is a whole other story. False imprisonment charges, abuse, and the whole "gonna go out tonight and rape someone" thing. He and Romanowski probably got along just fine.

I had not heard about this. When did it go down? Links?

Just google "Janikowski legal troubles" (Sorry, getting done with lunch and don't have time to grab links.) The first time I remember was, iirc, right after he got out of college. I think he claimed he had the ruffies for 'personal use' or something. But there's been a bunch of stuff since then.

IIRC the Big Ben thing was eerily similar minus the GHB... didn't the story go that he falsely imprisoned a girl in a locked bathroom while his bodyguard blocked anyone from entering??? Didn't multiple women step forward, implying that he had used this tactic multiple times??

He's polish. He probably though you take the ruffies and it makes you irresistible to American sluts.

It's now year 8 of the rebuild.   Also, did they draft the wrong guy?

ESPN radio host suggests Raiders took wrong Byron Young in 2023 NFL Draft

An ESPN radio host had a little fun at Byron Young’s expense this week.

Not the second-year linebacker Byron Young out of Tennessee who is wreaking havoc right now with the Los Angeles Rams in the playoffs. The other Byron Young, the defensive tackle out of Alabama who was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the 3rd round with the 70th overall pick — exactly 7 picks before the Rams grabbed their Byron Young that same spring night in 2023.

The Rams’ Byron Young racked up 62 total tackles, 34 solo, and 7.5 sacks during the regular season. Then he was unleashed during their wild-card playoff victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night, posting 4 tackles, 3 solo, and 1.5 sacks as Los Angeles advanced to the divisional round against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Meanwhile, the other Byron Young was waived by the Raiders before this season started before being claimed by the Eagles, of all teams. Young was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 25 with a hamstring injury.

ESPN radio host Q Myers suspects the Raiders accidentally took the wrong Byron Young back on draft day in 2023.

“I definitely believe they selected the wrong one,” Myers said on ESPN radio this week. “I think unintentionally. I think it was just an attention to detail … He’s no longer with the Raiders, I’m just saying.”

Here’s a clip from the segment:

There is still a chance the 2 players with the same name from the same conference could meet in Sunday’s playoff game, as the Eagles’ Byron Young was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, according to Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Both players are still very young, for lack of a better word, so perhaps the Alabama version of Byron Young can get going and catch up to the one from rival Tennessee.

They are a bad organization.  they are always in a rebuild.   They get good players and the team may improve for a while but then they get rid of those good players and blame them for not getting them to the superbowl.   then they are unable to replace those good players with anyone decent and the process starts all over again.

I think there may have been only 2 or 3 in the last 20 where the Raiders were not horrible. (maybe 4)

I feel sorry for Raiders fans because there is no hope.  the Rot comes from the top and filters down into the rest of the organization.

Just win baby was a long time ago.

I think the nfl is more fun when the Raiders are winners.

Sounds like we have a few people on here that feel threatened by Mark Davis' bowl cut.
