2017 NFL MVP predictions: Tom Brady is our unanimous choice over Todd Gurley

Recommended Posts

The award is about this year...not last.

Yeah and he wasn't even the most valuable person on his own team. What point do you not get here?

Goff and the coach were both more valuable to the overall success of the team. PAINFULLY OBVIOUS.

Never said Gurley didn't have a good year.

Remove Gurley and they are 6 win team. 12.3 YPC is ridiculous for a RB.

I assume you mean yards per catch and not yards per carry. Still great for a 3 down back. (Washington's Chris Thompson was at 13.1). For comparison, last year, Tevin Coleman was at 12.7.

I get you are hung up on the wording most valuable which havent been very relevant to who gets it in a while. Otherwise wouldnt Rodgers win in a landslide? Or Wentz?

It would always be a top QB (and it usually is). But no QB putting up unbelievably great numbers this year standing out.

Coleman had 150 touches and Thompson had 120

combined 100 less than Gurley Man

Yes, for an every down back. Really padded Goff's stats with 2 yard passes that went 25.

Sure put him somewhere on a list. Gurley great year, yada yada yada.

Point is, Gurley wasn't the game changer. Maybe for your fantasy leagues. Gurley did nothing to help the QB position last year. Enter Goff and McVeigh and the team was a real team. Gurley benefits much more from good QB play, than the other way around. See Pats posts.

My point is Goff and the coach were the reasons for the turn around. It is painfully obvious. Gurley is a real good player on a real good team. Nice stats. Not MVP. Put him on your lists if you want. Aaron Donald made the articles list.

Gurley was absolutely a game changer this year, I'm not sure how that can possibly be argued.

I give it to Bellicheck. This is twice now in the last few years the Pats defense was written off in the first half of the season and he got it straight. And lost his top guy.

If last night proved one thing it's that Wentz really is a system QB.
