Actually I think he is.

El Tigre scores a 72 and only made 34 feet worth of putts. You just walked into a bees nest son.

Considering everything, and that he started off on the brutal SC, I'd say a good showing for TW 2day... He was flat put bombing a few drives.

Tiger is playing well enough to make the cut and I think he’ll do that.

But, -15 probably wins this tournament. -12 at the very least. Most weeks these days, it takes -20 to win. Hard to see him doing that given what we’ve seen the last five years. He’s not the same player. I think he and Phil both have about the same upside at this point. Occasional contention. Occasional magic. Nothing more.

The golf channel is slobbering all over him with over half of their coverage. +1 in 105th place.i guess I wont watch much golf the year.

Apparently youre watching golf in January now though. Why is that? hmmmmm......

In other words, Eat A Diick.

At this point I am just hoping Tiger can make a lot of cuts and have a few "in the hunts" with some tournaments.

I hope this wasn't his highlight as he goes on to hurt himself and WD the rest of the year.

I really want him to be decent again but there is no way I am even banking on him making it to the Masters. You just can't.

The SC is harder but apparently a lot of guys are not fans of the greens on the NC since the redesign. I don't think it's as huge a discrepancy as some make it out to be especially when the wind isn't blowing. Just my 2 cents.

But tiger looks healthy and is bombing it for sure. Maybe back on the stuff?

Normally the South averages roughly 3 yards harder then the North, yesterday it was only 0.3 strokes more difficult. Not really a huge difference anymore.

Right. I think when there is little wind and the north course greens being newish and still developing, it's not the big advantage it was in the past

I'd be surprised.

To me he looks noticeably leaner, not as bulked up...... I'm also noticing that he's not "dipping" on the downswing like he used to - seems to be really releasing and firing with his hips. I'm guessing that's his power source - can tell he feels good, pain free for sure.

Maybe he isn't but remember, there is more to PED use than bulk. He could be on something for injury recovery which would also give him some power gains before he bulks up noticeably . Seems like not too long ago he was talking about wanting to play soccer in the backyard with his kids pain free and now he's pain free bombing drives?

Maybe.

But I really think it's just that he's finally pain free.... Remember, way before all of this - he was a bomber to begin with. He might be 42, but at 6'1", 185 lbs - he's still built for speed... Put today's technology in his hands - it flies.

He looks like he is swinging with a stiff back. But he was good off the tee yesterday and north of 300, good enough if he can get his short game together

I don't disagree. Just seems like he got pain free pretty quickly or maybe time is just melding together for me. Also I would think that even though he was a bomber before (and I truely believe on PEDs before) doesn't mean he's going to be bombing it the way he is now given his age and his relative cautiousness with his back. Technology helps for sure.

Oh TW was a bomber, even way back as a kid... The stories of his ball striking and length go all the way back before he ever got to Stanford. Then of course, '97 - when he turned Augusta into a par 68... He's been out over a year, and really even longer than that - I think it's just now finally coming together............ I was watching Rory this morning - if anyone should be suspected now, it might be him. Hitting it like he does, at 5'10"? I don't know...

Yeah no I didn't mean he couldn't bomb it before he got ripped.

He's turned into quite the announcer at the Masters (I think it's his brother, sounds just like him)
