The White House said Monday that planning is underway for a second meeting between President Trump and Kim Jong Un after the North Korean leader sent Trump a letter requesting another summit.

During a briefing with reporters, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the request was the "primary purpose" of Kim's letter and a second meeting is "certainly something we want to take place."

This weekend, Kim Jong Un's regime is expected to stage a massive military parade to mark the country's 70th anniversary. Analysts will be watching to see if the North once again shows off the intercontinental ballistic missiles it claims are capable of hitting the United States. North Korean parades that are historically shows of military power that all of a sudden refrain from showing that power is progress whether you can admit it or not. Don't want to read a history book? Read Michael Malice's "Dear Reader." It should give you some insight into the psychology of the North Korean people in general and the Kim regime specifically.
