Trump Always Always Always, condemns the white nationalists and neonazis explicitly. He has nothing but condemnation. This is a blatantly false media lie and fake news. Go to 7:22 he specifically excludes white nationalists the first time and goes on to specify it's only anti-statue removal folks that he is condemning. The "very fine people" line comes at 10:44 when he points out there were both good and bad people in that group.   At 11:43 are the second/third time he denounces them at 12:21 the fourth/fifth time the news reporter has head what she wants to hear, which is the BS you posted ... and he again clarifies "the fine people" he is talking about only includes the people protesting the removal of the statue.

Trump also heavily condemns the driver of the car: 4:14

Proof of these very fine people has also been conveniently scrubbed from the internet. But some of us in the Geek Club have seen it.

Before youtube scrubbed their video, we someone here in the geek club a post linking to a group of shell-shocked buy -yes- very fine people who were at Charlottesville that day, a group that included at least one black man, who took turns condemning racism, nazis, and the KKK, clarifying this point repeatedly a dozen times with each person who spoke. They had just been through hell but were adamant in clarifying that were there to preserve the statue and defend free speech. I don't recall who posted the video but I watched the video with my own eyes.

Now, this group of, take my word on it, truly fine people, you can justly criticize them if you want to, for showing up to an event and marching alongside neo-nazis and alt-right. Yes, they marched at the same event together with some bad folks. But this group were clean, civil ordinary people,  one after the other, not any inflammatory words were spoken, very fine people indeed. It's true, even though the evidence of their existence has been scrubbed from the internet, I saw it myself and so did other posters here.

I'm a fake English teacher, I admit, who's no more qualified to teach this stuff than anyone else who posts here and grew up speaking English.  But I'd taken grammar in fifth/sixth grade and I'd like to think I learned a thing or two over the years of reading the proper use of quotations and writing many, many college papers. 

Without looking up a definition, I'd say they are to be used to take things word-for-word from a source.

But this is a distraction to avoid the truth.

What I'm saying is that I've tagged and identified five times where the white nationalists were identified and singled out specifically by Trump himself in that clip as NOT being who he was talking about in reference to the "very fine people." He was very specific and clear. The media is deliberately, bold faced lying to the public and the link above is evidence.

You're going on what the media told you he said, not on what I said. I'm not telling you - i'm showing you-  straight up that that's a lie and I presume that you haven't seen the actual clip. Like I said, it's all tagged, so if you don't want to spend fifteen minutes, you can just skip ahead to the relevant parts. It'll take two minutes.

Watch the clip yourself and and see for yourself how you are being lied to and manipulated by the media. Or don't. Keep chugging blue pills.

Either way, you and anyone else who reads this or watches that and still thinks Trump called white nationalists very fine people need to now know that you are not just misinformed but are intentionally lying.

Low blow. I can't speak for cbfalcon but I happen to know my ancestors were the bad guys in the Revolutionary War. I'm happy that I have no confederates in my family but in this regard I can understand them.

The French Canadian side is really only 80% French. The rest is a potpourri. The Frenchies in Quebec kept good records and my brother made a trip a few years back. Unlike Elizabeth Warren, I can tell you the name of my Indian great...grandmother and her tribe (Nipissing). I've got English, Scoth, Irish, mixed in and even German. More specifically, Hessian. I kinda grit my teeth  learning from my brother that we have a Hessian-Canadian great...grandfather because I'm not delusional, I know the only way he could have gotten to Canada. Likely he wasn't the only one of my ancestors fighting for the British; I'm glad they lost the war(s) while being grateful that they lived.
