Media outlets attribute Obama-era child-detention stats to Trump, issue retractions

Recommended Posts

On Monday, Manfred Nowak, an expert from the U.N. Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty, claimed that 100,000 migrant children were detained by the Trump administration and indicated that it was the "world's highest rate" of detained children. The following day, however, he acknowledged that the cited number actually was from 2015 -- under President Obama.

it seems lying and fake news is the corner stone to bringing down the greatest POTUS in United States history.

Remember when they used pictures from the Obama era of families in cages and claimed it was Trump?  They have no shame.  Or credibility.  The era of being able to trust news sources is over.

And they get so offended about "attacks" on the press.

Then they excuse Obama for doing it and ask why is trump doing and that it’s horrible he hasn’t put a stop to it

It's funny how hard they went after it when it could be attributed to Trump and then silence when it is attributed to Obama

They know what they are printing is wrong or inaccurate and it is their MO to sway public thinking to their agenda. There is no penalty for printing lies!

Yeah, not getting the year right and who the president was is a "mistake".

Mistakes are made by people who have a skill or talent where they possibly lose focus for a moment or something very minor slips by them.

If you are solving a complex math problem and your whole point is to resolve a problem or create a proof on something asserted, and you completely miss the mark, that's not a mistake. That is either not knowing what you are doing or simply trying to pull something over on someone.

The founding fathers screwed up not restricting the media.  They should at least have to have a license.  Being a journalist requires a very high level of integrity and not just anyone should be able to do it.

Can't have accountants that aren't certified, doctors that don't pass the right certifications/exams, etc. The media is hurting the structure of this country's society. When Trump wins again, he should have his team put together required qualifications for someone who prints or writes or reports about something/anything on behalf of a news/reporting agency/business such as CNN, ESPN, MSNBC, etc....

I'm all in.

I agree.  Unfortunately it will never happen because the lefts reach with the media is all they really have at this point.
