I love these old treasures you can find on YouTube.  I remember watching Nashville Now on TNN with my grandma.

I watch the Marty Stewart Show every Saturday night on RFN (Rural Farm Network).  The shows are a little older than this video. Cousin Kenny is playing an RS Guitarworks Telecaster, that he does not have in older shows. Marty is playing the ORIGINAL Parsons/White B-Bender Tele. Marty bought it off Clarence White's widow, after Clarence was killed by a drunk driver, while he was loading his gear after a gig. The B-Bender brings the b string up a step by the use of a mechanical device activated when he pushes down on the neck. The pressure on the neck moves the mechanical device thru the strap button. The B string returns to normal pitch when the pressure is released. You can see and hear this starting at about 2:18. I saw Clarence White play that same guitar live, long ago, when he was in the Byrds.

Awesome.  Thanks for adding this.

I was on stage to accept a donation at the MO state fair last Saturday, right before Hank Jr came on.  I didn't hang around :dunno:

The best country singer of all time. I still hate Lori Morgans for killing him

I love all the old school country.  Willie, Waylon, Hank and the boys.

I've been trying to expand into some of today's country.  It's.......interesting.   Stapleton is the cash cow and he should be, dude is talented and authentic.  I sorta also like Eric Church, Luke Combs and Darius Rucker.   I could look at Carrie Underwood's legs all damn day, the fact she can sing is just a plus.

Other than that it's all sort of meh.   Especially some of these girly country guys....like WTF.   :dunno:

I have tried like hell to get into the stuff they call country these days. Outside of Stapleton and Jamie Johnson it is all garbage. It is a shame they call it country. Tractor rap is a more appropriate label.

I love Chris Stapleton as well.  I think he is currently in a class by himself.  Check out Jon Pardi though and see what you think.  Completely different style but I like.
