I’m no fraud investigator, but I’m pretty sure if you claim you’re a charity, you are subjected to oversight and have to open the books. If you’re a corporation, you have to pay taxes. That’s why BLM is neither, I think.

ActBlue is like PayPal or GoFundMe. It is a technology middle man between small donors and campaigns/causes.

The reason Bernie, Biden, Warren, and Pete are the top recipients is because they just finished campaigning for president. And raising money. Through small donors. Who donate online. And that money goes through ActBlue.

Republicans have their own version called WinRed. Look it up.

 

About the only thing accurate in that meme is if Black Lives Matter decided NOT to claim the money donated to them after a certain period of time, then ActBlue can use it at their discretion. But who the fock is gonna raise money and then not claim it.

Most shocking is that $180+ million was donated to Bernie, $120 million to Biden, $100 million to Warren, $80 million to Pete.

That is half a billion dollars. A lot of scratch.

Theres several parts under the ActBlue umbrella.  One is an actual PAC, not just fundraising software. And good luck finding out how much ActBlue gave to BLM.  Even the CEO cant tell you.

It’s a shakedown. Maybe the biggest in history. I hope these corporations know that it doesn’t stop with a couple of checks. This is only the beginning. Nike has had to pay to keep people off their backs for decades now. I remember when Michael Moore went after Phil Knight and Nike about their slave labor camps. The slave labor stil happens, but Nike gave Kaepernick and LeBron a check so they’re all good. Win-win. Just Buy It!
