Tatis Jr. 340 Million!

Recommended Posts

Tatis still has that CHRONIC shoulder problem.  He has had it since he first entered the minors.  Its bothering him so much he is going to skip home run derby.  10 year deal for that?  No.  Its surprising to me he can perform at this level with that issue.  But honestly who in their right mind thinks he will be able to continue doing so?

yah no, its not bothering him, the homerun derby is stupid

also, give the guy some credit, he completely redesigned his swing in the middle of a season to counter what was happening with his shoulder, you always hear about guys having struggles when they make slight changes during season.  Just accept hes a phenom and enjoy it for focks sake

I think plenty of people including the vast majority of baseball executives see Tatis doing exactly what hes done, kid is 22, once again, you seem to think he can't even improve.

Dude must have focked your lady or something

Between Vladdy, Acuna and Tatis baseball is in good shape with these 3 being the face of MLB.  Guys bring excitement to a boring game

Also Ohtani.

I didn’t think there was any way he’d have success on both the mound and at the plate when he first came over.  But look at him now.

Tatis injures that left shoulder again.  its just not gonna hold up.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/padres-star-fernando-tatis-jr-033019847.html

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Star shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres appeared to injure his left shoulder sliding awkwardly into third base in the first inning against the Colorado Rockies on Friday night and left the game.

It was the third time the 22-year-old Tatis, the NL's starting shortstop in the All-Star Game, left a game this year due to injury.

Tatis singled and advanced on Manny Machado's sharp grounder to third baseman Ryan McMahon, who came up with the ball but then had it pop out of his glove and roll behind him into short left-field. Tatis made a dash for third but shortstop Brendan Rodgers ran toward third, took the throw from McMahon and tagged out the sliding Tatis.

Tatis slid awkwardly over the bag and crumbled in pain a few feet away, bringing a hush over Petco Park. Manager Jayce Tingler and a trainer helped Tatis off the field as he winced in pain, holding his left arm. The trainer was holding Tatis’ upper arm/shoulder.

Tatis suffered a partially dislocated left shoulder on a violent swing April 5 against San Francisco and went on the injured list. He reinjured the shoulder and left a game against Cincinnati on June 19, although he missed only one game. Tatis left a spring training game after hurting the shoulder while making a throw but was back two days later.

Tatis also missed eight games in mid-May after testing positive for COVID-19.

Tatis came into the game batting .290 with an NL-best 31 home runs, 23 stolen bases, 78 runs scored and a .650 slugging percentage. His 70 RBIs are third in the NL.

Tatis is known for making spectacular plays at shortstop although he currently leads the majors with 20 errors. He became the first Padres player voted to start an All-Star Game since Tony Gwynn in 1999.

Might need surgery.  That sucks. The NL west was going to be a great fight down the stretch. Kid is exciting.

Eddie rosario was injured, got healthy, and started smashing like eddie rosario.   There it is.  And what do you mean gloat? Dont play mind games.   I took heat for a prediction and was proven right. Ill stand up for myself.

next season?  Rosario should be an excellent hitter barring more injuries which i dont think will happen since none of it is chronic.   Thats what he is.

what does that have to do with the best player in the NL?

the best player in both leagues were on teams that finished under 500

Its more like the guy has a track record of being a slugger, and he obviously was injured and healing his season.  He eventually went for an extended stint on the IL and came back and found his groove again.  I trust he will be a slugger in the future.  The guy is going bananas now.

He’s not the only one making post season noise.

Kiki Hernandez, Cody Bellinger, Kyle Tucker, Yordan Alvarez and Austin Riley are having good post seasons at the plate.

k so you're continuing to quadruple down on a career .740 OPS 30 year old player who has played on 3 teams in the last 2 years in the Fernando Tatis thread

I still have yet to see your point

This again has everything to do with Tatis 😂 you have TDS bro. You’re as bad as pimpadeux

here I’ll make you a wager. Tatis has a 150+ pt higher OPS next year and Rosario has under an 800

hes this years Randy Arozerena without the upside

Tatis had surgery on his broken wrist on wednesday, March 16th, 2022.  He is out for up to 3 months.  Speculation is that he broke it in a motorcycle accident in the Dominican Republic, but no-one seems to know.  Mr. $340 million just kind of reported to spring training with a broken wrist.

Eddie Rosario signed a 2 year deal for $18 million with the Braves, with a club option for 2024.
