I'm glad I'm not the only degenerate that thought the same thing.

We just got a shake shack here in my city in China. I've never been to one. Everyone I know who has been says it's ridiculously expensive.

Worth it?

Same especially in toll  roads where they have you by the short hairs. Still grab a Roy Rogers if I can. Honestly it’s all nasty crap we should not be eating.

If I recall, Roy Rogers is east coast version of Carl’s jr

Hardee's is Carl's Jr. In the south... they went from absolute ass to one of my preferred fast food dumps very quickly when that happened. P

Also in the midwest. I remember when I moved out here going to Carl’s jr. and thinking the menu looked awfully familiar.

I've never been to an in n out.

I gotta figure it's one of those things that I've been hearing about for so long that it will be a disappointment when I finally do.

I like mine with meat, cheese and bun only.

Me either… I don’t even want to know how many calories are in that.

The first time I had it-I didn’t get it. I secretly think they put crack cocaine in the food. 😂

I gotta say, I'm interested to try it, but I'm a skeptic. I don't trust you cali people when it comes to a burger. I've seen what you've done to pizza.

I was hoping there was one in LAX when I passed through there a couple of years ago, but didn't see one.

No, it’s normal fast food. The fries are a little different, though. They use fresh cut potatoes that you can see them cutting up, but it makes the texture of them funky. You definitely come to appreciate over time.

If you like fresh, you'll like In-n-Out. They're simple. Meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, with or w/o onions.

Fries are fresh. They put them in a "can crusher" that Juliennes them and right into the fryer they go. You have to eat them hot though, the lack of preservatives turn them to sh!t when they get cold.

Temper your expectations and you'll enjoy it.

I've had most of the so called best burgers and In-n-Out beats them all.

Dammit. That's one I haven't had. There's one nearby. I'll give it a shot and get back to you.

I'm glad they brought In-N-Out here to Texas.

It's an okay choice when you can't find Whataburger or Dairy Queen. :D

I mean, it doesn't really matter, as the nearest in n out is on the other side of the pacific away anyway. Lol

My wife is itching to see Cali next time we go to the states though, and I've never been myself. So I'll probably do that and Vegas \ grand canyon next trip home.

My wife's top 2 things she wanted to see in America? Disneyland and the focking Hollywood signs. I managed to talk her into NYC (much cheaper as I didn't need to rent a car) as a substitute last time, but I don't think she'll be denied again.

Dairy queen? Christ, their food is straight ass, other than ice cream. At least it was 7 years ago.

Over the past 15 years or so it’s gone down hill. Still my favorite ff burger though.

just had a quick dinner in downtown Sonoma.  Really deters me from grabbing fast food

Na, a Hunger Buster is better than anything In/Out has.

And don't even get me started on their tacos, focking yummy.

Yeah, I find I like fast food less the older I get. Of course, it's all crap here. All we have for American chains are McDs, Burger King, and KFC. I think there is a subway somewhere in town too.

I like the topping choices, but burger to burger I like in n out. I occasionally am near a 5 guys and  think about it, but remember how often I’ve been disappointed

I've had Whataburger and we've had a DQ franchise in the family.

In-n-Out is hands down better than both. No question.

5 guys is up the road from In-n-Out. I always chose to sit in line at In-n-Out than drive up the road. I'll give it a shot for Titans though.

My exact thoughts on In/Out. In fact, we have Burger Street here, it's even way better.

I don't think it's a chain thing. I mean by that is, Applebee's, Red Robin, you name it, makes a much bigger Burger that actually taste like meat..  I mean, the patties are as thick as my finger.

I'm pretty sure Five Guys Burger patty is 5 oz pre cooked. Most, not much better.

Well, like I said, if you like fresh, you'll like In-n-Out. Whataburger and DQ aren't fresh.

We have a couple of family owned burger joints around that I would choose over In-n-Out but those are diners, not "fast food."

Whataburger is as fresh as it gets - fresh patties, cooked when you order it.

In/Out gets the edge on service for sure....that and over-hype.

The quality here seems the same. Sometimes you’ll get someone who over seasons the meat or cooks the sh!t out of it, but I don’t think the quality has changed much. :dunno: I probably don’t eat if often enough to really notice, though.

Yeah, well duh… Sonoma has some of the best restaurants in the country. Not that L.A. doesn’t have it’s fair share, but I live in the Valley and it a focking hassle going over the hill.

Seems like a different category than drive through (5 guys is sit down)

I’ve never had a Whataburger. I’m not even sure where the closest one is. Now I’m curious…

5 Guys is what In-n-Out would be if they didn’t give a sh!t. Shake Shack is meh at best.

I'm sorry, when I can get a burger that's better at a sit-down restaurant for cheaper than I can get at one of the so-called fast food restaurants? The lines are officially blurred.
