Families of 9/11 victims demand release of records

Recommended Posts

 CNN —

More than 1,600 people affected by the September 11 attacks are asking President Joe Biden to refrain from coming to Ground Zero to mark the 20th anniversary of the event unless he releases documents and information related to the attacks, according to a letter released by the group.

“Despite numerous requests by Democratic and Republican members of Congress and hundreds of 9/11 family members imploring previous and now the current administration to bring transparency to the matter, these efforts have been rebuffed and the issue has remained inexplicably ignored,” the letter reads in part.

“We want to see tangible proof before the 20th anniversary of 9/11 that this Administration is truly committed to transparency,” said Brett Eagleson, the first signatory of the letter, in a statement. “These documents involve a terrorist attack that occurred 20 years ago, and there is no justification to withhold them.”

Eagleson’s father, Bruce, was killed in the attack on the World Trade Center.

“The 9/11 families deserve justice and closure. Matter of fact, all Americans deserve to know the truth behind what the Saudi Arabanian government’s role was in 9/11. And there’s significant evidence. The FBI has it. The DOJ doesn’t deny that it exists,” Eagleson told CNN’s Michael Smerconish on “Cuomo Prime Time” Friday.

“We need the President to be our hero. Be our champion, Mr. President. This is a direct appeal to you. Help us in this fight. Stand by our side. Allow us to have the justice and closure that we deserve,” he said.

Let's not forget that most of these are self-entitled clunts  who were by and large, unemployed wives of stockbrokers and whatnot. They all became even bigger millionaires because our country collectively lost its mind and donated gazillions of dollars without thinking about how to distribute it. And let's not forget that most of their husbands already had ginormous corporate life insurance policies already.

These b****** were the original Karen's. And if you have any sort of a memory, you remember that they were pretty well roasted given enough time.

Hey, to the wife of Diego, the busboy who was doing prep work at the restaurant at the top of the Twin Tower? enjoy every blessing. The most of you? Shut the f******. This was your only claim to relevance and it's been too f****** long now. I'd much rather that money and attention go to the lives of soldiers who lost their f****** limbs or lives trying to clean up the mess. all your husband did? Was show up on time for work. And all you did? Was suck his diick on the first date and accomplish the Manhattan Wasp, Jew, fantasy.

Hate to agree with wiffle freak, but he ain’t wrong on this one. I know of a few people who got paid who did almost no time at ground zero. If at all. Some skank Sgt, named Sally Spinosa, who claimed she did all sorts of time down there, is going to prison for her false claims. IAB rat. Good.

See, putting your fingers in your ears and screaming no no no no no no no no no no no! that's not true! Without providing any actual facts to the contrary? It's like a toddler. Or the my pillow guy.

On the other hand:

the end of the process $7 billion was awarded to 97% of the families. A non-negotiable clause in the acceptance papers for the settlements was that the families were to never file suit against the airlines for any lack of security or otherwise unsafe procedures.[4]

A stumbling block to settlements was the fact that many of the World Trade Center victims were highly compensated financial professionals. Families of these victims felt the compensation offers were too low, and, had a court considered their case on an individual basis, they would have been awarded much higher amounts. This concern had to be balanced against the time, complications, and risks of pursuing an individual case, and the real possibility that the airlines and their insurers could be bankrupted before being able to pay the claim.

This is a separate fund from the similarly named September 11th Fund, and from the World Trade Center Captive Insurance Company.

Really wiff? Of all the scumbags on earth, you're going after 911 widows?

I don't care who they were or are. They're entitled to know what happened. As are we.

I think by law all records of anything can only remain classified for so long. And we are well past that.

NOTHING in your two posts justifies denying families, and other Americans, the truth.

Okay, so what exactly is the truth you're looking for now? I mean what the hell else could there be at this point? The most investigated event in the history of the world.

Go ahead, I'm f****** curious. What hasn't been asked and answered like 7,000 times already?

Saudi Arabia’s involvement. That has not been answered yet. And what would you care if they had to pay up?

Yeah they claim it’s a cover up of Saudi involvement. Who knows if there’s anything to it, but the government could sure put it to bed by releasing the documents

It looked like Trump was going to but he backed down.  That should tell anyone how focked up what’s in there is.

But no one knows what those documents are. Or if they even exist.

I mean Jesus motherfuker. I'm more interested in JFK than 911. We know who did 9/11. Dead. We know who orchestrated 9/11. Dead. We launched our most expensive and longest war ever because of 9/11. There's already a massive lawsuit filed by the victims against Saud . So it's not like they're being ignored. It's not like anybody's f****** ignoring it.

So, what documents exactly do you think are going to fix the f****** world?

Well if they don't exist, then say so, and the whole conversation is stupid.

It isn't about fixing the world wiff.

It's about what right does a democratic government have to hide things from the people.

The answer is, after this long, none.

What exactly are these families hoping to gain from these "records"?

That the Saudi Govt., not Bin Laden/Al Queda, was behind the attacks.......so you can what, sue them?

This isn't the JFK assassination, we know who/what/why we were attacked. I can't even imagine the pain these families endured with loved ones killed, but it really sounds like a money grab to me - they must have run out of their initial haul.

People want the facts about how their loved ones were killed. I want  facts about an attack on our country where it looks like the attack may have had state sponsorship. I haven’t received any money and my name is on this lawsuit.  Nor do I expect to get any. But I damn sure want to know what happened. You don’t? I’ll bet it’s not the Saudi’s that need the real protecting concerning this.

I'm pretty sure I have a good handle on what happened and by whom.

Of all the books I've read, this is by far and away the best and most poignant. I'd def recommend reading if not done so.

Looks good. What’s your thoughts? Big oil and the bushes?something to do with Israel? Id have to think Israel is a factor and probably the reason Trump backed off. Not that they orchestrated it, but when you start poking around in the Middle East they always seem to be involved in some fashion.

I'm not opposed to a good conspiracy theory, JFK comes to mind - but I'm really not buying one here.

There's just too much substantiated material out there validating Bin Laden/Al Queda. That organization was far more organized, far more sophisticated than anyone knew. And if many remember, OBL was at odds with the Saudi Govt., he was enraged over them turning down his offer to take care of Saddam during the Kuwait invasion.

9/11 was in the works for years. The groundwork and seeds planted as far back as Omar Abdel-Rahman (the Blind Sheik) and his involvement in the NY assassination of Rabbi Meir Kahane,  the founder of the Jewish Defense League. All of this is detailed in Lance's book, which is why is book is so riveting, it's so detailed. In it you will hear the names of Ronnie Bucca, a NY Fire Marshall who knew the attacks were coming, and who died in the towers...will hear of FBI Special Agent Carson Dunbar who flat out ignored the warnings from his informant (Emad Selam) about the impending attacks, will hear of Col. Mendoza of the Philippines who confiscate a laptop with the Bojinka plot - detailing the plans of 9/11 (the FBI ignored his warnings), and on and on.

As far as Bush - to be honest, I wouldn't trust him a game of tic-tac-toe much less be part of a grand conspiracy.

So this is probably about protecting the FBI. Makes sense.

(CNN)The Department of Justice announced Monday that it will review what previously withheld information or documents related to the September 11, 2001, attacks it can disclose to the public as it faces public pressure ahead of the 20th anniversary of that tragic day.

The filing from the Justice Department comes less than a week after more than 1,600 people affected by the September 11 attacks released a letter calling on President Joe Biden to refrain from going to Ground Zero in New York City to mark the anniversary of the event unless he releases additional documents and information the government has previously blocked.
