Did the packers lose at home again in the NFC championship game last year, when the opposing team had 3 turnovers?

TB had the much better roster for sure.  But yes.

He certainly outplayed Tom l and went against the much tougher defense.  All that matters is wins and losses.  I get it.  But Tom goes down as clutch for winning in GB.  The Bucs won in spite of Tom lobbing ducks around.

Ok Rodgers isn't good.  Tom outplayed him by far.

Moving on...

He's plenty good. Just a choker and a massive cxnt. It's okay.  Tom threw 2 terrible picks, 2 of the worst he has ever thrown in the playoffs.

I like your use of the "x" to spell kvnt.  Reminds me of that stupid Latinx deal.

Only 1 was his fault.  Evans caused the other one.

I'm taking Cards -6.5.

I heard a weird stat though. Since  2019 the packers are 6-0 without Dante Adams in the lineup. And Rodgers has averaged more passing yards in those games than when Adams is playing.

He's forced to operate more as the offense is intended, where as when Davante is on the field, he tends to force more throws his way as D.A. can get the tougher throws for bigger plays.

In those previous cases though, he wasn't passing to the 4th,5th and 6th options.  If anything I'd expect to see a heavy dose of Aaron Jones & TE's Tonyan and Degura tonight.

Fantasy owners of Jones are salivating over this game. No doubt. Dude should catch 10 passes tonight.

I think it depends a lot on the defense obviously.  In a perfect world they run the ball well for long drives and finish off in thr redzone.  But if Cards are on their way to 35 pts then that strategy gets abandoned.

They will have to get the backs involved in thr passing game for sure.

I think Cobb will need a big game with a few of those give a nod plays.  MVS being active would go a long way in opening up thr field a bit even if he doesn't get many targets.

Ideally RBs and TEs in a throwback PA game is the option.  But if Murray is picking up every 3rd down with his feet and demoralizing them, thrn Rodgers is going to need to let it rip.  Can the defense make the right stops? They keep everything in front but that does no good vs Murray running for every 3rd and 5.

Murray's o/u rush yards is 26.5.  Seems crazy.   Heinicke ran for 95.  One was like a 50 yard scamper sure but still.  Going against a QB with speed is one of my biggest pet peeves in football.  They can't afford to shadow him because they don't have Jaire to shut down a side of thr field.

Cards are dinged up too, a lot more than just JJ Watt.

Quote

The Arizona Cardinals have ruled defensive end J.J Watt out of Thursday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers with a shoulder injury, the team announced Wednesday.

Watt was not a participant during the Cardinals short week of practice in preparation for the Packers.

Additionally with Watt, starting wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) did not practice for the third straight day and was joined by center Max Garcia (Achilles) and defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence (calf) as non-participants. All three players have been listed as questionable for Thursday’s game, along with tight end Darrell Daniels (hamstring).

Garcia, who for at least one more week will be filling in with starter Rodney Hudson on the injured reserve, joined Hopkins and Watt as new to the injury report after a Sunday win against the Houston Texans.

After being limited in Tuesday’s practice, linebackers Isaiah Simmons, Jordan Hicks, Devon Kennard and Tanner Vallejo were full participants on Wednesday.

Additionally, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was listed with a right finger injury, but he was a full participant in practice for a third straight day.

Green Bay has a relatively clean injury report, though it did lose its top two receivers in Davante Adams and Allen Lazard to the COVID-19 reserve list.

Also Chandler Jones just came back from Covid, the real kind where you get sick.  He apparently lost a lot of weight.  So I don’t expect him at full strength.

Center is a big concern.  Rodney Hudson is a pro bowler, and if his backup (Max Garcia) can’t go, they will have some scrub’s scrub centering the line.

Cards are rated best defense on 3rd and 4th downs.

So the narrative becomes "cant get into 3rd and long" and that makes sense.  But you cant just run. Throw a 3 yard out.  Then pass on 3rd.  You can't become predictable.  You have to take some play action shots on 1st right out of the gate in my opinion.  Playing scared in a game you are "supposed" to win is a dumb idea in my opinion.  I mean if you think the defense can hold thr Cards at home to 21-24 pts then sure I guess try it.  But that seems like wishful thinking.

I am not saying Cards aren't dinged.  But most of those players are going to play.

To be fair Favre and Rogers have the same number of superbowl victories as Dilfer and McMahon.  :P

The Bears who were crushed by TB were only 3 points down late in the game to GB before their offense bombed out near the end.

Kenny Clark Dean Lowry Preston Smith among others are all "questionable". Preston didnt play last week.

I didn't bother adding those guys.

And yet he still has 7 TDs this year. The Cards are moving the ball around more this year. Hopkins only has like 45-50 targets on the year. I think last year at this point he had over 70. So he is still producing but is less involved as a primary all game go-to guy. That's a luxury.

And without having to focus on Hopkins, far and away the Cards best receiver, things get tighter for the other receivers.

He is tough and plays through injuries that would side line most diva WR.

I agree.  I like him as a WR.  I do feel he lost a step in there somewhere.  I could be wrong as I don't watch a ton of Cards games.  It could be the Watson to Murray change.  Just seems like in Houston he went downfield more.  Even if he has, he has the best hands in football in all likelihood.  Tough to cover 1 on 1 inside the 5.  Great body control.

It could be the routes the Cards offense has him running.  He is not the fastest guy and only appeared to be down field more with the Texans because of the amount of busted plays that resulted from horrible offensive line play.
