Franks is on the Mount Rushmore of overrated sauces.  Adding butter to it makes it buttery and overrated, which is moderately better.  It is the last sauce I'll pick of the options available; I only eat it if I'm out with folks and somebody orders some for the table.

I almost said "overrated sauces, like overrated posters."  Be happy I didn't go there.

I sent you Game of Thrones scotch as thanks.  :nono:

Franks is vinegar and tabasco and piss, sorry.

Loved the Dickinson bio btw, thanks.  Now that I'm taking my memoir writing class and starting to write, I may go back and reread it with what I'm learning in mind.

My wife and daughter and I will be seeing Bruce Dickinson on his speaking tour in just over a week.  Should be an interesting event.

Thanks guys. Started before there were any replys.  Seasond with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and baking soda.  Fried them, blotted dry and then mixed in franks hot sauce and butter until melted. Pretty good.  Going to bake them next time, thanks for your suggestion.

I dated a girl in college who failed a pap smear and I had a dry throat off and on for a year afterwards. At the time I did not realize why, but I have since put 2 and 2 together.  I read both of your stories very carefully and I sure I am not the only one here.

This topic is taboo and it is tough to admit, but many of us like that specific activity and it is not without its risks. If you read medical journals almost everyone prior to the vaccine is at risk, it is all luck at that point.

Thankfully we can get our kids vaccinated.

I started cooking professionally over 20 years ago, made wings since about 1990.  Always fry then toss wings in sauce when a deep fryer is available.

there have been times I/we seasoned, then baked as a par cook… but still fried to finish to order.

when no deep fryer, season, bake, then toss in sauce

for the past 5-10 years I like grilling and smoking them

This is where I am at now.    Frying them means taking something that's already really greasy and then dunking it in oil.   Still good, don't get me wrong.    I've decimated whole barnyards worth of fried wings over the years.    But grilling allows a lot of the grease to cook out of the wings.   Then when you douse them in the sauce - the wings just absorb the sauce.      I made some for superbowl that came out unbelievably good.    I had some time so I slow cooked them over hardwood charcoal, so they wouldn't be all burned on the outside.    With grilling I like to get the whole wings, chop off that little end joint thingy and then grill them like that.    Trying to grill them when the drum is separated from the other part is too fussy, too small.    But once they are done I cut them apart.    Put them in a bowl and slather them in sauce.     Some Marie's blue cheese dressing, some celery & carrots - food heaven.
