Ukraine - Doomsday

You’ve made this argument again and again. I get it. You may be right; you may not be right. I don’t want to find out. I’d rather they were stopped here and now. Ukraine is a good buffer; I believe in buffers.

so would you agree that our funding has stopped Russia?

but what you "don't know" is if that money would stop Russia in the rest of the world (and our troops if they went to Poland for example)

1. Our funding is definitely helping Ukraine fight Russia.
2. If Russia swallows Ukraine they will be, eventually, much more powerful than they are now. But if they attack a NATO country then I think they would lose. But I also think the whole world would suffer. I think it might lead to a nuclear war. I don’t want to see it! I don’t want to come close to seeing it! Why can’t you understand that by stopping Russia now we are saving ourselves from that possible catastrophe? I simply don’t get how people like you can be so blind about this.

I know, right. Russia didn't interfere when we invaded Iraq.

You're seriously comparing the two situations?

Russia has more ground in the ukraine than ever before. It's called a slow death to the leading nation of human trafficking.  Bye bye ukraine.

I’m sure you are rooting for this, comrade!

I do root for nations that are leading in human trafficking, aka slavery, to be overrun.

How’s Russia on that regard or us for that matter 😮

In any case I don’t think many are pro-human trafficking so we can all root for people doing that to die a slow death.

You vote for people that fund the protection of the slavery. If you had a job they would be taking your dollars to do so. :dunno:

Russia as of a year ago had trafficked more than 700,000 children from Ukraine into Russia.

As long as it’s a weird political point he gets to whine about Democrats (this one is particularly odd) is all he cares about.

If Trump came out and said he’d support funding Ukraine this would be a non-issue.

He supports someone who uses the word "genius" to describe the despot who has orchestrated the human trafficking of hundreds of thousands of children and started a war whose death toll will or already has surpassed 1 million.

😕

Yeah. Cause it's a great strategy to underestimate your enemies.

And you have it wrong. The slaves are supplied by ukraine. Just like African nations captured and supplied slaves to the world way back in the 1800s and still do to this day.

Gee, you would be great in the military. 😆

Ukraine making some moves against these commie bastards!

Seems to be a hell of a coincidence Ukraine undertook the surprise attack, within weeks of getting the F-16's. Possibly used to assist the attack, or to hold Russians back in Donbas freeing up Ukraine troops. Possibly both.

I haven't read anything that mentions any of that, just a thought that came to mind.

Not sure. A theme I do keep seeing is that attacking in areas across the border into Russia is a means to getting some type of negotiation jump started.

Yeah. We really need a power hungry nation and a slave trafficking nation to work out their disagreements. 😆

Bargaining chip in negotiations, divert Russian troops, gain international headlines/support, lower Russian moral... maybe all.

My guess is the main objective is diverting Russian troops. Ukraine wasn't making any significant gains in Donbas and perhaps hoped this attack might alter that status, along with the other benefits. Reportedly Russia hasn't budged many elite troops from Donbas yet, indicating they also believe that's the true objective. But eventually they'll have to if they want to kick Ukraine out. Then maybe comes the big counter-strike in Donbas.?.

It's certainly another military embarrassment for Russia. Ukraine in a week has taken more Russian territory than Russia took in a year from Ukraine.

My guess it's morale, bargaining chip and diversion.

It's ballsy, for sure!

I was watching YouTube about how focked Canada is due to them bringing in all sorts of immigrants and they have nowhere to put them. Lo and behold they start interviewing a scooter delivery guy in his late 20’s early 30’s. From Ukraine. Now why isn’t he over there fighting the war? Same shitt in Ireland and Poland and other countries. “Refugees”.  Huh?

Catch 22... Diverts troops - weaken Donbas. Wait to divert - Ukraine has time to build defensive lines in Kursk. Another Russian problem is they previously didn't need to protect their Ukraine border, because Ukraine wasn't permitted by UN countries to attack. Now they need to defend a long stretch of land with more than just a few border guards.

Very ballsy. Ukraine needs to chose carefully where to use their precious resources. Hope this turns out to be the right decision.

Hopefully they'll start bargaining and end this horrific war. Ukraine gives up Russian turf it seized in exchange for getting back Donbas. Russia keeps Crimea but STFU about Ukraine joining NATO.

Signing some peace agreement is a waste of time, because Russia broke that when it took Crimea.

Most "war experts" think the Kursk attack is likely temporary and expect an orderly retreat once Russia (slow and lumbering) gets around to hitting it hard within a month or so.

:dunno:

Reports of Russia doing just this. Pulling troops to defend wide open areas that Ukraine is walking right into.

Ukraine flamethrower drone!

😲

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russia battered much of Ukraine on Monday, firing scores of missiles and drones that killed four people, injured more than a dozen and damaged energy facilities in attacks that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described as “vile.”

The barrage of over 100 missiles and a similar number of drones began around midnight and continued through daybreak in what appeared to be Russia’s biggest onslaught in weeks.

Ukraine’s air force said swarms of Russian drones fired at eastern, northern, southern, and central regions were followed by volleys of cruise and ballistic missiles.

In retaliation, Ukraine burned down one of their own trees. Take THAT Russia!!

https://www.yahoo.com/news/ukrainian-drones-strike-large-military-094948888.html

Ukrainian drones struck a large military depot in a town deep inside Russia overnight, causing a huge fire and forcing some residents to evacuate, a Ukrainian official and Russian news reports said Wednesday. At least 13 people were injured, Russia's Health Ministry added.

Meanwhile, a senior U.S. diplomat said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has a workable plan to end the war, now in its third year, although its details have not been publicly disclosed.
