I use the same 3 words, all with different letters that give me 15/26 letters and every vowel. It almost guarantees that I get it in 4. Double letters do complicate things. My first word changes all the time but is usually worth 5 or 6 points in Scrabble. I use to be in love with opening with the word "audio" but I got sick of using it all the time, then I came to realize that I can just as easily work on the vowels as I go. For my second word, If I get a yellow, I keep it and try to figure out where it goes but if I get a green, I'll usually ignore it and guess something else, then come back around to it later. If I got lucky on round one and think I have a decent/good crack at a deuce, I'll keep the green and go for it. Until today, I just stop when I get to Genius because by then I'm always out of ideas and running on fumes. I get desperate and start plugging in stuff that sound like plausible words. But this time, since I hit Genius without breaking too much of a sweat, I had some energy left. I think its because any verb you find, you can slap "ing" on it and get a second word. Anyway, I figured that if I'm ever going to make a run for Queen Bee, now is the time to go for it. So I did and ... success. It's 39 words and 284 points. There are five pangrams. For some reason "license" doesn't work.
