 First MNF game on ABC.

Yes you are probably right but MNF started out in Pre season in 1970 and first game ever aired was Giants vs Steelers and have it on disc somewhere lol. Also yes Bradshaw was bad for the first couple years Volt! Bunny you are talking the first Regular season game. Oh and all was on ABC.

I hoped Howard Cosell was there for the first MNF game. Also, this is the first TV ad for cigarettes I've seen in my life.

WWOS was huge for me back in the 70's with all the heavyweight fights with Ali and etc. Evel Knievel jumps.

@Voltaire

2.2 Voltaire                   -- Cheers - Sitcom

September 30, 1982 was when Cheers debuted and it's first year it finished in last place, but for some reason, 11 year old Mike Honcho tuned into that first episode and was hooked after the opening cold open. Yeah, I watched the Dukes regularly before that, but Cheers was probably the first grown-up sitcom I found on my own---parents were big fans of M.A.S.H. so I can't claim that one.

40 years later and I still use "War is gross".

Thanks for the clip and backstory. I never saw this, I guess finishing in last place, few did. Now I forgot a lot, but things always ring a bell and this exchange would have but didn’t.
