Women who are denied abortions risk falling deeper into poverty. So do their kids.

Abortion just needs to be removed from the government purview and the problem goes away completely.  It's really as simple as that.

Maybe so.  Still, that raises the age old quandry of how you get a bone away from a large and vicious dog withjout getting bit.

By being the adult in the room.  We just need a president to stand up and say, "Abortion is officially an "elective medical procedure.  Your body, your choice?  Well, your money.  Just like breast implants, botox, nose jobs, and alike."  Write the E.O., sign it, and... drop the mic, walk out.  If everyone hates you, that means that there's no fighting against each other, and the problem goes away.  The net result is that everyone pretty much got what they really wanted (Dems got abortions, Reps got not paying for it), and in a few months, it's not an issue.

Wouldn’t that essentially make it legal then?  Pretty sure a lot of people would have a problem with that

They're legal now... and no where near as many as you think.

Not in quite a few states, and even where it is it has restrictions.  I’m assuming Planned Parenthood would do it through 40 wks or whatever

It's hard to rank liberal overreactions anymore. There are just too many.

Jan. 6, 2021

Abortion ruling in state's hands.

Trump saying mean things on Twitter.

Fake Russian collusion.

So what... 5 states you can't get one?  The ones with restrictions... abortions are legal then?  Willing to bet, no one would complain after a few months.

Let them.  Just gonna cost the woman more money.  Also willing to be that the number of abortions after 20 weeks is nominal.

Not worth a response…weren’t you the one saying Roe v Wade wasn’t overturned?

It was passed down to the states to rule on. Smart move by our SC.

I just got a generic democrat ad in the mail today. Says vote democrat so women who are victims of rape and incest can get abortions.

It's already legal.

These people are fighting for women who are not victims to get abortions. Democrats are dumbasses.

Why accept it when you done have to?

I don't even understand the point of discussing this anymore unless someone lives in the same state as you. Roe v. Wade got overturned, it's a done deal, we won.

Because it's not my life.  I'm willing to accept someone else's decisions, even if I disagree with them.  They focked up.  They can pay for it.  As long as I don't have to, I can deal with it.  Win what?  Abortions are still legal in this country.

I am, but I'm not unreasonable.  Because abortion is of the government purview, of which it DOES NOT belong, having it at the state level is the right way to handle it... but abortion is still legal, so RvW meant nothing on the abortion front.  People can still get abortions.  Even if it's not allowed in a particular state, it's allowed and people can still go get one.  Sure, extremists may want to put laws in place to prevent someone leaving their state to get an abortion elsewhere, but NO court, even the most conservative, will ever allow that.  So, abortions can still be obtained at the mother's whim.

Now, if the government wants to handle abortion like guns, I'm ok with that.  You can get one whenever and wherever they're made available.  You pay for them, but there's these things....... that are required.  Done.  Put the rules in place and there you have it.  You want 20 weeks?  Fine 20 weeks.  It's not a complicated issue... politicians make it one.

You can't call yourself conservative and be okay with third trimester abortions. Not even debatable. It's up to each individual state now, the way it should be and I hope my state, Florida, bans everything after first trimester. Maybe you're more of a Republican Party guy instead of an actual conservative?

Lol you’re an idiot.

Tbay: Roe v Wade meant nothing on the abortion front

Tbay’s next sentence: explains how Roe v Wade being overturned changed the abortion front

You seem really invested in killing kids. Do you sell garbage bags to abortion clinics for a living?

Then maybe you sell those big tongs that abortion doctors rip kids apart in the womb with.

Or maybe those suction devices that tear limbs off the kids.

You must have some investment in killing babies. You fight hard for it.

So you’re ok with ending a life before twenty weeks, but not after. Ok.

Hell yeah. There should absolutely be a way for terminally ill individuals to legally commit suicide, and for those they enlist to help them to avoid any sort of charges. Freedom baby!

Between the earned income tax credit , Tanf, food stamps, section 8, etc, I bet there's an argument to be made that having children is actually more beneficial.

I know when I volunteered at a shelter years ago, women were actually encouraged to do so.

Just because you're slow, it doesn't mean the rest of us are.  People were, and still are allowed to get an abortion.  The decision by the Supreme Court just moved the jurisdiction from the federal level to the state level.

That would completely fix the "insurance issue" we have in this country.  Watch how fast people take care of themselves.  That $2 piece of garbage won't look so good if it's going to cost $75,000 for bypass surgery, will it.  Anyone who believes in science should absolutely be in favor of this.  It's Dawinism at it's purist.
